Which papers/cardstock couldn't you do without?
Help, I'm a Paperholic!
Decided to tidy up my papers - big mistake - its taken hours and there still a pile of odds and ends.
I bought 6 12"x12" clear boxes at Sandown which are now all full (already had 3) These are for whole sheets only!
1. plains (Bazzil plain and Bling + Coredinations)
2. vintage & men
3. pastel and baby
4. mainly flowers
5. spots and stripes
6. Christmas
7. double sided (SEI, Chatterbox, Imagination etc.)
8. Basic Grey
9. metallics/flock/tapestry
Not sure what to do with the vellums, acetates, velvet and handmade papers yet - I'll need another 4 boxes at least
Got a huge box of small bits for punching and diecuts and 2 hampster baskets from an old freezer divided into color sections for A4 or smaller.

Rectangular white plastic coated metal basket that stacks in a large chest freezer - about 18" x 12" x 12"
The old Bejam freezer went years ago but kept the 6 baskets for loft storage and 2 for my A4 paper and folders.

I've got 12 12 x 12 boxes and two concertina organisers with my 12 x 12 papers/cards. I have 12 drawers with A4 card and mirror board in them

Re: Help, I'm a Paperholic!
Isn't it amazing I have loads of papers (3 under the bed storage boxes full plus 2 other boxes) but when I want to make a card I can never find the paper I need. I'm usually sure I have a certain colour or print but I can never find it. I ask the kids and they eventually admit that they have used it
I think I need to start geting them their own papers then I know mine will be safe

Re: Help, I'm a Paperholic!
I store mine in colour groups on the shelves in magazine holders laid flat so that I can see the papers, then each time I want a specific colour I just go through the papers in that section
Invariably I will have a toning colour already there, failing that I find that Joanna Sheen's CDs have gorgeous backing sheets on them and one of those will tone with what I want
I don't buy kits just lose card and paper when I see ones I like and know I will use he he. My 12 x 12s are in the really handy boxes, again colour coordinated he he

Re: Help, I'm a Paperholic!
LOVE paper, I don't care if I don't ever use all of mine (my hubby says I couldn't live long enough, so just as well anyway, - although who will look after it when I'm gone?
). My children used to get embarrassed in bookshops when I would pore over books with lovely paper, admiring, sniffing and stroking. I may be a bit weird, but at least it's an inexpensive (relatively) and harmless weird.
My closest crafting friend isn't at all like that, and absolutely can't understand it at all, she heard someone else on a call-in to a shopping channel say something similar, and was stunned!
I don't know how she's missed us all, I know I'm not alone, although there are degrees of papermania I suppose. (
