Afternoon ladies- much fresher here today thank goodness. Went to card club in the end last night. We had to take rubber stamps - favourites and any we diidn't want to swap or sell. Nobody swapped or sold but all did lots of stamping with everyone elses's stamps so have got quite a lot of images to colour in and play with. Just had a phone call from husband of someone who works with Roy - he's going to come and do the roof, hopefully towards end of next week id weather is OK. Just need to chase up the tree man now to get the big conifers pruned. I'd expected him to have done them by now.

A sharp tug on the steering wheel while gently trying to turn the key [don't do that bit sharply or the key might snap]. It used to happen to me with a car I used to have and it happens with Pete's car periodically.

Have you tried wiggling the steering wheel while turning the key to make sure the wheels aren't stuck against a kerb or anything Otherwise sorry, no idea but I have to do that sometimes.

Try turning steering wheel backwards and forwards at same time as trying to turn key. I've got a vauxhall and the steering does sometimes lock. That usually does the trick.

The car has been checked by a mechanic and although he has freed it once, it soon locked again so he says it needs a new barrell, so that will be ordered tomorrow, just hope it gets fixed in time!
