Jakes has got his school fete today so hopefully I can sneak out of work at 1:45pm for the 2pm start and not return. Well thats the plan

Morning ladies - its warm but raining here. I have the pleasure today of visiting the benefits office to get my Housing Benefit sorted for the coming year - hopefully it will be enough to get me out of this grey area this year, but I doubt it. As long as I don't end up paying more rent and Council Tax I'll manage he he.

Don't forget the photos Karen and Andrea hun just close your eyes and think of someone dishy while its being done he he. I plucked my eyebrows so often in when in my teens that they took the hint and I haven't needed to do them since I was 17 yrs old approx. One less job for me to do he he. Morning Andrea, Di , Jan , Janet and everyone else who follow ... not as warm here to day a bit overcast but sun trying to make an appearance.Not much planned for today , got to get some new sissors the ones I treasure have suddenly had it and knone of the other 10 are the same , I use straight manicure sissors finf I can cut fiddly bits to my hearts content , so a trip to Boots since reaching 40 don't have to do much to my eyebrows , its the whiskers on my chin that need more attention.....lovely , a very attractive look ..NOT.Hope fate goes well and that you get out of work ok .Hope dealings with housing goes ok .Everyone one have a good 'un lexie

Good Morning Andrea, Di, Jen, Janet, Lexie and all who follow. Hope you find the scissors you want Lexie, I have a favourite pair too would be devastated if they broke. The were really cheap from Tescos, in their craft section - black with purple rubber in the handle, about the size of manicure scissors and cut right down to the point. Before that I had some sewing scissors - I think they were shaped like a bird of some sort and it took me ages to find something I was really comfortable with. Tescos was the last place I thought I would find them.

Much cooler here this morning, slept on the floor downstairs last night as our bedroom was unbearable and Martin didnt want the fan on as it kept him awake. Best sleep I have had for a few days Didnt hear the rain but looks as though we had a fair bit Trying to do some cards today

Morning all

Well we have rain and fog by the look of it but it wasnt any cooler when i came to work this morning when i did get to work this morning security men were standing outside giving out letters to everyone, appartently someone in the building has tested positive for SWINE FLU dont know who, so perhaps my little office isnt so bad after all has i dont really see any of the staff who work here.

Karen cant wait to see those photos of amy glad she had a nice time.

Feel a bit sick and funny this morning went out last night for fish and chips again but dont feel to good, perhaps they were a bit greasy and it was still very hot while we were out last night.

Andrea i dont have to go out for my waxing my future dil is a beautician (SP) so i get mine done at home free, i have had to start having my chin done lexie lately while she was on hols i had to shave it off and she shouted at me saying they will come back thicker and quicker so now i have to wait for them to be a certain length before i can get a wax the things us women go through.

right off for a glass of water dont fancy tea at the mo,

I saw it Janette - you're not going mad

Took a Nytol last night to help me sleep but was woken by torrential rain around 2.00am Went back to sleep till after 8.00 and have been playing catch up ever since!

The carpet is being fitted Monday morning and the bed arrives that afternoon. Spent the whole morning emptying wardrobes and putting stuff in the new ones. Got a few more bits for the charity shop but its looking good.

Marking out where to drill the holes for the newcurtain poles now and should get them up by tonight when its a bit cooler (in between watching Wimbledon)

Still planning to go to Newbury tomorrow but have to fit some food shopping in before that _ probably late tonight the way things are going! Back to the tennis now.

Afternoon everyone. Well it's a lot cooler here now the thunderstorm is over. It started at 8.30 just before I had to take the kids to school and ended just after midday.

Sorry I didn't get on her yesterday Joshua and Kayleigh had rehearsals at De Montfort Hall in Leicester during the day then in the evening they were back again doing their dance show to a packed house They were really good and totally tired by then end of it. they finally got into bed at 11pm last night
