Saturday - Grand National Day
Good morning all. Looks like we have had some rain this morning and Martin is supposed to be going over to Pewsey for the motorbike rally. He's a fair weather rider these days so he's just checking where the rain is today otherwise he won't be going. I always worry on this day as its the day I stepped out the back door and broke my foot - just after Martin had set off. He had to turn round and come back again.
Enjoy your day whatever you are doing. May go to the craft demo in Frimley today or might just get on with an anniversary card for Ian & Ruth.

Re: Saturday - Grand National Day
Good morning ladies.
Jacky, driving a motorbike on a wet day must be awful, I can understand him not going. The thing is, you would love the sun to be shining but then he will be out all day, and if it rains he will be home all day.
And its simple what you do today, Martin stays in you go out lol lol lol sorry just had to say that Whatever you decide to do I hope you enjoy it,
The sun is out here this morning, and I am hoping it stays like it all day, as once more Deborah and family are descending on me She finished painting the fence for me, while Karl was doing the garden edging, and now wants to do the shed "to get me looking all smart" she says. I don't know what Karl will be doing but knowing him he will find some jobs that need doing. So it will be me with the children today, but they more or less look after themselves.
Hope you all have a good day

Re: Saturday - Grand National Day
Afternoon ....
Nice and sunny but with a cold wind. Have done a couple of loads of washing and fingers crossed it will dry.
Have had a walk up to the library - back home, had a bacon roll for lunch and waiting for the shopping to be delivered.
Amy is still suffering with her throat, but had a better nights sleep - so at least she doesnt feel so tired.
Enjoy your day whatever it is you are doing!

Re: Saturday - Grand National Day
Well I did all I wanted to do. Martin didn't go to Pewsey and it's just as well he didn't as I went to watch the craft demo and the demonstrator was saying she had forgotten to write down todays demo in her diary and didn't remember until DoCraft contacted her the night before so she had nothing prepared and had a long journey to get here as she has moved since the last time. She has actually got married too Anyway, she was saying what a nightmare of a journey she had as it was misty horrible rain nearly all the way and some cars didnt have their lights on and you could hardly see where you were going until she got here and it was dry. I asked her where she had come from and it was 5 miles from Pewsey They decided to ride to Sally's house as that is a nice area, and when they got there she had just made breakfast with extra for them so they had a break there Martin's friend thought it was wonderful to have all the animals around her. So I came home from the demo, had a cuppa and Martin was back. We had dinner and then watched the Grand National, so sad that 2 horses died again Now I have started on the anniversary card - just got to put it all together now - so a very satisfactory day. Ian came round to borrow my carpet shampooer - Ruth had a wedding all day today and he was so bored I think he was giving the house a good clean (after Callie being ill the other day)
Glad you are getting your garden spruced up for you Marion hope you had some fun times with the children. Poor Amy, hope she feels better soon. My nephew just posted on FB a photo with all the remedies he has bought - think he has man-flu.
