BRILLIANT NEWS Empty BRILLIANT NEWS

Post  Scotty Wed Dec 31, 2008 7:45 pm

Well all the family have returned to Scotland Sad
My elder son and younger daughter were down for Christmas and they left just moments after my younger son and his wife arrived
Alan's family and all their partners have been over
And now for the part that put the icing on the Christmas cake

I received a phone call from my elder daughter on Saturday night
She was up in Skye with her boyfriend for the weekend and she phoned to say that they had just been for a walk to a very romantic setting in an old castle and yes you have all guessed right
He proposed

BRILLIANT NEWS 7

Who said romance was dead? Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
He presented her with a lovely ring but unfortunately, Sarah having my large knuckles, the ring barely goes over her pinkie finger
She sent a photo on her mobile of it and it is beautiful
They were just getting ready to go out to a top class restaurant but she had only packed tops and jeans
Hopefully she enjoyed her romantic meal anyway
The whole family are over the moon about the announcement and so happy for them Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
They haven't set a date yet but her younger sister has been told to start making arrangements for the hen night as part of her duties as Chief Bridesmaid Very Happy Very Happy
Trust Sarah to get her priorities right
So I am sitting here with a rather tired but happy smile on my face
Missing all the crowd but happy and contented Smile Smile

My thoughts exactly Smile
And hopefully with the aid of my new water tablets I will get into a smaller size Very Happy

Thanks Cubbie Smile
I am at a loss as to what to get them for an engagement present as they already have their own house
Answers on a postcard please Laughing Laughing
Guess I will have to get started with an Engagement card
I think that will be my project tomorrow Smile
Feet up today and relax

That is brilliant news Sadie Very Happy Congratulations to them both - it's lovely when they do it properly. Ian proposed to his wife at the top of a mountain when they were on holiday. He had already chosen where he was going to propose, in a little Cotswold village - Bourton on the Water, but the mood was right when they were on holiday so he proposed then. They had to buy the ring when they got home though Laughing Laughing He wasn't that organised.
