JANUARY THEME - Page 2 Empty Re: JANUARY THEME

Post  Craftworker Thu Feb 05, 2009 1:21 pm

My postman lives 2 doors away Sue. I think he goes in sorts it and is not allowed to do his round H & S so just picks up the neighbours post Laughing His son works on emptying the bins in the streets - he came with a load of salt with another man and they salted the bend at the bottom of our hill which was very good - he also gave Martin a bucket of salt for the drive as he was out there clearing it at the time Laughing
It's covered with snow again now Mad On the TV they were talking about clearing pavements. We have always cleared our pavement in front of the house until a couple of years ago when someone told us we shouldnt do it as we could be sued if someone fell there. I remember as a child going out with my dad and brothers and sisters and we all cleared the pavement and next doors as they were elderly. Everyone in the street did and it made life easier. There were no cars in the road so we didnt worry about the road Laughing Laughing and we had a factory opposite us but we still played in the road. Showing my age now but they were certainly happier times Very Happy
