Friday 9th January
Morning!
Its a bit foggy out today, but very mild, was quite surprised when I went outside.
Amy has just gone off to school, she has a mock maths exam first thing and is thrilled that she is missing geography!! said she would much rather do maths. I know which one I would have preferred to do... and it wouldnt be maths!!
No children here today, so going to crack on with some cards... got to get mums card made - its her birthday on Sunday. And I have no idea what to get, my first idea was a nice brooch for her smart winter coat - but apparently the new spring collections have come in at the jewellers. They must only be a winter thing!
Hope you all have a lovely day, take care

Re: Friday 9th January
Morning ladies. Bit grey here today. Apparently there was a dusting of snow in Basingstoke according to Roy who goes through there on his way to work. Busy doing my ATCs this morning, having cleared the craft table yesterday. Then dentist this afternoon. Ugh!
Re: Friday 9th January
Morning ladies, foggy start here and frosty, fog has cleared now but I haven't been outside since topping up the bird feeders this morning, to find out if it is any warmer Hugs to Shell, hope you are more comfortable soon My craft surface is clear at the moment so time to start messing it up again. Got an order for a card yesterday, so will be getting that done as well as my ATC. I have already done 1 but trying something different for the other one Martin will be around though as his friend didn't want to play golf on the frozen ground May go for a bit of a walk later as we are organising next months U3A walk. We are sorting out one little bit of it and doing the whole thing on Tuesday for the second time ready for the beginning of next month.
Hope you all stay snug and warm, and enjoy your day

Re: Friday 9th January
Morning ladies We have the sun back again which most probably explains why the temperature has risen to -1 he he never thought I would be saying that whilst in the UK, but a cold hard winter will do us some good I think. Remember the old saying along the lines of a cold hard winter kills off most germs and we can start afresh in the spring with a new lot he he. Hope all who are feeling poorly start feeling better soon
I've been messing about with my Cosmic Shimmers and some peel-offs and have started putting them into cards, I'll show you when I'm done. I was quite pleased with them for my first attempts he he. I've also realised that if I put the peel-off on to waxed paper after I use it then its easier to pick it up for reuse and I don't have to fiddle to get it all back in the right place on the original sheet. So I now have a pack of wax sheets ready for use any time, thanks to Jan [Cubbie] for her idea about the Pringles container I also saw on the web somewhere this woman covers her old teabag boxes up. Hers were extreemly elaborate as she does them to sell on, but it is a good shaped box and easily stacked. Off I go to the kitchen to check out containers he he. Guess you could use Bisto tubs for flowers or something along those lines with acetate placed over the cut slit so that you can see the colours inside without opening them. Ok really off now I have a kitchen cupboard to clear out he he

Re: Friday 9th January
Good morning ladies bright but very chilly start to the day here
Got my job interview this afternoon and am so not looking forward to it, nerves starting to get the better of me I think but will suck it up and be fine later probably just a bit jangly this morning
PG Tips boxes are fab Andrea would never have thought to use them, got one in the cupboard so when it's empty will be giving it a whirl me thinks

Re: Friday 9th January
Good Luck with your interview Jan, though I am sure you won't need it Just be confident and tell them you can do it all - that's what Sally did to get her job in Australia and she just worked out how they had done things before and did the same. That's how she got her work experience for the job she has now, and then started her CIMA exams What is the job for, on the shop floor or in the office.
I have just finished covering my Pringle tube so I can start filling it now

Re: Friday 9th January
Thanks Jacky but to be honest it is so long since I applied for it I can't rightly remember what I actually applied for, I think it was section supervisor but I know it was shop floor and that's why it is way out of my comfort zone I don't have a problem with dealing with the public just been so long so I have had to do it face to face in a work enviroment
