Double pull out card
Ok will do my best not to confuse you all
Cut an A4 piece of card down to 14cm x full length landscape and 2 other pieces 14 x 8.5cm.
Score the long piece of card at 9.5cm then 19cm and again at 28.5cm, this will leave
about a 1cm or so piece at the end. Fold all the score lines and leave the little bit on the end as you will need it to fix the card together. Cut a length of plastic from a sturdy carrier bag
(I used a polypocket from a ringbinder) cut long enough to wrap around the card, should be around 30 x 2.5-3cm, trim off excess.
Wrap the plastic around the card as in diagram, not too tight or it will restrict the flow when you pull it out and fix the plastic together with DST(make sure it isn't stuck to the card at all).
Decorate the two pieces of 14 x 8.5cm card as you like, but keep it flat so no decoupage or anything raised on these pieces.
Go back to the card with the plastic wrapped around it and put some DST on one end of the plastic and then on the opposite end but on the reverse side and then the 2 pieces of decorated card put one in front and the other behind, make sure they are both facing forward or when you pull it out one will be showing the reverse (hope that makes sense)
Fold the card up and using DST on the small flap that was left stick it behind the front decorated card and onto the piece of the main card behind it. I put an eyelet and threaded a piece of ribbon through it and then decorated the front.
This is much easier to show than to explain
This might help or not !!!!

Re: Double pull out card
The card you did for Jen was really great so thanks for adding the instructions and making them clear and easy to read.
I'm aiming to make one at the weekend, so I'll let you know how I get on

Re: Double pull out card
I understand the two side parts, the main part that's like a folder ....... but I am completely lost where to put the plastic strip he he Well I am blonde he he I need the s..i...m...p..l..e version he he you know the one "Card making for Dummies" he he
Re: Double pull out card
If you open the pic up Jen it shows you where it goes, I know the diagram is not to scale but does show where to put it, maybe if you look at the one I did then you might get a clearer idea, it's the end that doesn't have the extra little bit that folds over, it fits around the card that end

Ooohhh I like this. Even Joshua sat and watched the demo with me and said Cool at the end. I might have to give this a go in the future.
Thanks for the instructions and the link

Oh thanks Jan on two accounts - the demo for the slider card is brilliant The second account is that I love Dawn's demos and when I lost my data before Christmas I lost all my links to her demos and couldn't remember her name - so I have them back again Huge hugs he he
Re: Double pull out card
Thanks Jan for the link. Just watched 5 of Dawns demos, she has some really good ideas
Least she's not as screechy as Joanne on C&C

Re: Double pull out card
I turn the sound down when she's on tv, can't stand her. Got rid of Deano and kept her, I will never understand that
Re: Double pull out card
I heard she was married to one of the high ups there - could that be the reason?
Re: Double pull out card
I heard her Uncle worked there so no idea what the truth is just wish they would get rid of her
Both wrong by the looks of it this is what it says about her on the website
Joanne's sister, Lindsay-Jane Vines, is a category planning manager at Ideal World in Peterborough. Encouraged by this fact -- and unable to resist TV shopping prices! - Joanne joined Ideal as a Customer Services consultant in 2003.
She then moved to the production department as an Assistant Producer and, as her interest grew, rapidly became a Producer. Joanne was asked to attend auditions to become a Presenter early in 2004, fired by her passion for products and, she says, her ability to talk about every single one of them!
Joanne now has her dream job. She can talk and shop at the same time, and is very proud to have joined the Ideal World family of Presenters!

Re: Double pull out card
She can certainly talk Wish she would shut up and let the person demonstrating get a word in There is one on QVC that I can't watch - Kathy Taylor - she butts in with her ideas and they are usually wrong.

Good morning
I don't know Joanne, or Dawn, but couldn't agree more about Kathy Taylor. She is so irritating. I turn into a grumpy old woman when she's presenting craft, and often tell her (even thought she can't hear me!)to be quiet so we can hear the person who actually knows what she's talking about.

Re: Double pull out card
And with Howard on C& C. He really irritates me as he keeps saying " now what I'm going to do....." usually when you want to see the finished demo and then you never see it!
