Haven't made it but just had a thought about storing lengths of ribbon, what about in poly pockets?
maybe wrap the ribbon around a piece of card stock and slide it into a polypocket and it will be kept neat and clean in a folder, could fix it in place with low tack tape or like me you might have some mini clothes pegs that where supposed to be embellishments that you have never used, think mine have got Christmas trees on them Laughing

They look very nice, especially when full of ribbons but how practical are they, wont it all just end up as a jumbled mess scratch

Plus how do you punch the holes so they are neat, I'm not sure I have the patience to sit and punch 200 odd holes in plastic anyway without going more gaga than I am already lol!

Don't think it would be any use for the wide ribbons either as the holes are small. I have just spent ages looking for my old bag and it's nowhere to be found. I think I must have thrown it Shocked Will have to see if I can find a cheap one in town. ot the week to myself next week as Martin will be in Spain with his golfing friends Very Happy

I saw this last year but didn't really care for the price!

So i bought a bag looking very very very similar from Peacocks and it had 2 others with it (which i gave as pressies)! £6

I made the holes with a hot knitting needle, lots of them and then filled it

If i was more techie and could post pics I would though I do have them on another site, if anyone wants to see i could pm of course.

And NO they don't tangle and stay dustfree

I've sorted out my free ribbon holder Smile I'll do the photo tomorrow as its too dark now, obviously at almost 9pm he he I used one of the large Daz plastic containers drilled holes all around and filed the rough edges down. I think that next time I'll put less holes in as I had more holes than the space inside could hold he he It works though and it matches the small ones that I use to keep dried flowers in, I have 6 of those to hold different coloured flowers Smile With the same paper on the sides as I've used to cover the boxes and cartons Smile

Bought a fresh soup this week in a plastic container and I have punched holes in that with the Big Bite and it is ideal for holding all my very narrow ribbons which I usually buy in 3m lengths. Good idea drilling the holes Jen. They would be bigger for the wider ribbons Very Happy Looking forward to seeing it. Very Happy

Here it is along with photos of my craft room / dining room Smile I have not cleaned it up so please excuse the mess which Tash and I have created he he

Ribbon storage, take 2 Th_HPIM2432

I need to rearrange the ribbons as I made the mistake of filling one side first rather than all the low level ones first and working my way up. I do need another one for the other colour range of red, orange, yellow, cream, white, black and brown ribbons so guess I'll be nagging my daughter to keep those for me too he he Smile

Now for the craft room and the items I have covered so far Smile

I have designated areas as I am a lazy crafter, if its not out and easy to get to I don't tend to use it often. So as I have lovely stash to use it might as well be laid out ready for use he he Smile

That's why I got organised, I just didn't get around to using some of the lovely stuff I had as it was too much effort to find it - so I sorted it all out and I love it now Smile My stash looks larger than most because of the huge amount of card and paper I have Smile The Cuttlebug is my only machine so I've not spent that much really as most things have been bought at a reduced price Smile Like my 8 sheets of Elusive images stamps I bought last week. I'm a member of the Graphicus sale and they had a members sale - got them all for £26 whereas one on its own is normally £20 Smile I'm a cheapskate and buy almost everything at a reduced price he he Smile
