It's Tuesday

Good morning Ladies,

Thank you all for your kind words, I hope you are all well.
I have had ME for 11 yrs so I'm use to having days when I can't do anything other than stay in bed.

I am feeling loads better now.

I have just got some really nice flower stamps from a company called Little Claire, they produce a really clear sharp image and are really nice to work with, so most of my cards will have stamped flowers for a while

Did any of you go to Sandown at the weekend? if so was it good, were there many people? I am hoping that I will be strong enough to go to Stamparama on Sunday as I haven't been to a craft show for a while.

Morning Mikki and all that follow. I'm glad to hear you are feeling better today. I've not been to the craft show so I can't comment (Come to think of it in all my years of crafting I've never been to one ). I have a few of Little Claires stamps too and I love them my daughters favourite are the elephants and these get used quite a lot.

I've got to sort through some photos today to see if I have any of my daughters cards that she has made because she has been asked to send some in to a magazine that she wrote to. Other than that I don't have much planned. Maybe I'll make some cards to add to my spares box.

I have now come down with a kidney infection (it's one thing after another) so am on antibiotics... feel like I have been kicked in the back by a horse LOL... I am just hoping it is not the methotrexate affecting my kidneys as I want the stuff to work!!! Will have to see how it goes!

Morning ladies I'm so glad you are feeling a tad better Mikki Is ME worse in the Winter months too like Fibromyalgia, RA and any rheumatic or arthritic illnesses? I have to confess to not knowing as much about ME as I do the others.

Can't believe you haven't been to a craft show Frances The Farnborough one (which used to be at Thorpe Park) is the best one I have ever been to. I went all three days last year as it was about this time and Martin was in Spain golfing The sun is shining brightly here this morning although the lawn is really white Haven't got any plans really today apart from card making for my February birthdays. Going to avoid the riddle site today Tonight I plan to watch the programme about Britains biggest thieves - BBC1 10.45. They are notorious in Cheltenham

Havent posted for a few days Havent felt too brilliant, think I am starting with a cold as I feel thick headed and achy. Also tend to get a bad back when I am like this...so its a case of taking paracetamol and plenty of fluids!
Off to a meeting tonight at Amys school to discuss about Amy staying on for another year at school. Apparently there are presentations and a chance to speak with some of the teachers. Amy is more than happy to stay on, the school is right next door to where we live and they have a good reputation. Will see what they have to offer!

Have got someone coming out on Friday to look at the tv that my DH broke last week. Then we have to wait for them to say... yes it is broken. Apparently we still have to pay an excess of £175 They are quick enough in taking Insurance money, but when it comes to claiming... they can be very slow.

Got a couple of cards to make but Mike is off so we are going out for a wander round, not sure where yet but have to nip into the post office to send a few things and pick up my prescription and get that filled.

Morning all well when i went to bed at 2 this morning, all the cars where white over and then from down our path came this beautiful fox i stood in the window for about 20 mins watching it, i love foxes, Karen get those tablets down you, Lou hope your feeling a bit better my daughter used to have a lot of kidney infections, funny you should say about your tablets someone asked me if i was on any tablets when i mentioned my gout, when i said yes for blood pressure she said she had the same thing, funny how they give you one thing that causes another.

It looks cold and windy out there today have got to go and get some eggs from the farm am in a cooking mood which dosnt happen very often,

Mikki glad your feeling a bit better we are thinking of having a week down cornwall before i go back to work, will have to wait and see

Lou, do you take Methotrexate for arthritis?, I really hope the kidney infection is not from the drug, drink plenty of fluids and rest, nettle tea is good for cleaning the kidneys so it may help to flush the infection quicker.

Karen I wish you well, keep warm and drink loads soft drinks that is lol

Jen, no the weather doesn't make any difference with ME, if you think of the worse flu you have had and times that by 10 thats how ME feels when it's bad, even your teeth hurt when you eat, the only thing to do is lie in bed, you can't read watch telly or talk because your body hurts so much and you are totally exhusted. People with ME have whats called a crash where by all of a sudden you are bed bound and can not function that can last for a day or weeks some times longer and is usually caused by over doing things, mine was due to doing too much over Christmas.

I hope that those of you who feel poorly start to feel better soon, and for everyone else keep well and have a good afternoon.

How awful for you Mikki, but glad you have managed to get back on here again. I will never moan again about a little achey back

Afternoon ladies. Just a quick visit before lunch. Lovely and sunny here thank goodness. Went to pilates this morning then took Roy to drs for his blood test. They have to check that the diuretics and BP pills aren't affecting his kidneys, then a quick trip to Morrisons for him. After lunch got to go to Fleet to bank to pay his tax and have my eyebrows done, then I need to tidy craft room. Glad you're feeling better Mikki - Sandown was disappointing so I don't hink you missed very much.

Lou hope you feel better soon and Karen as well.

Yes Mikki, it's for rheumatoid arthritis... have only taken it for 4 weeks so I am really hoping it is not them causing it. Thanks for the advice xxxx

Just got back from our little trip out, nipped into Tescos and found 15 paint brushes for £1 and 2 palettes for a £1 plus got some much needed photo paper. Got a few bits for a little picnic and sat over at ST Margarets and ate it
Went for a drive through the countryside on the way home and as we came down the hill into Lydden a little piggy was running loose, there were about 4 people trying to shoo it back into the farmyard but he was running them a merry old dance, he was so cute

Did my last big shop in ASDA for a while then got down on my hands and knees and scrubbed the kitchen and bathroom floors and descaled and cleaned the loos. Now settling down to watch an afternoon weepie film on channel 5 (popped on here in the advert break on the way to make a cuppa) back later

As my granddaughter would say "nine more sleeps to go"

Mikki do you think the nettle tea would help my gout has its caused through to much acid and something to do with the kidneys i think , glad your feeling better as well

Yes nettle tea would help gout as it gets rid of the acid that causes crystal to form, my sister had gout a few years ago and I said she should try the tea, it worked and she has been fine since.

I don't have gout but I only drink nettle tea now as it is good for detoxing the system.
