HIGH DRAMA WHILST SHOPPING
Well HIGH DRAMA here this morning,
I got up feeling good again, took Emily off down the road
for a special day at her new school with her new teacher
for september and then I thought I'd nip into town.....
Went into The Works, got a load of double sided tape to
take up to our Shell next weekend and for once they had
a good thickness white card in there so I got a box of that
too.... then went to local craft shop and bought a 50 pack
of A6 cards and envies as they were lovely pastel pearlescent
colours. Then got the kids pressies for the teachers.
Then I decided to go to Iceland to stock up the freezer, they
do home delivery so I knew I'd be OK managing it all. Anyway,
got a big trolley full of stuff, loadsa bargains etc and went and
stood in the queue. Was starting to get real grief off my back
and knee was throbbing so was leaning pretty heavily on my
trolley, when all of a sudden I felt it ram into my stomach and
I nearly fell over. This idiot bloke had decided to cut in front
of me in the queue and shoved my trolley backwards so he
could budge in... so I wasn't impressed as you can imagine.
So very loudly, I said to him.... excuse me, you have just
pushed in and would you mind going to the back of the queue
where you belong. He looked at me with utter disgust and
held up the few things he was buying, among them a litre
bottle of Vodka, he said he only had a few things so he was
going before me (he was Polish) and I said 'You aint mate,
get to the back of the queue'
He realised I wasn't kidding so as he went to walk past me,
he swung the litre bottle of Vodka at my head.....
He really meant it to get me too.... he looked so
angry Luckily I saw it coming and shot my head
back in time.... and I told him to *BLEEP* OFF very loudly. He
turned round and looked at me again and then this young
chap jumped in front of me and said to the polish bloke
'if ya wanna start mate you can start with me not this lady'
One of the staff members came over and asked if I was
OK and offered to get security to escort the bloke from
the store, but I wasn't worried. The nice man who defended
me said that he thought they should all be sent home and I
said that in general I didn't agree but that for this man I
would make an exception. Minutes later the man tried to
push in the other queue but a big stocky woman told him
she wouldn't let him either!!!!
OMG the nerve of some people!!!!

OMG Lou what a cheek you should have had him escorted out the shop i would have done, if people have only a couple of things and i have quite a bit i let them go infront of me but to just push in like that was rude and not on, and good for this young chap who stood up for you theres not many of those about.
Glad your ok though.

Well, I am glad you are okay, but boy did he pick on the wrong one with you.
Nice to hear there are still people out there that will come to our aid as well.
Take care
Pat

If it had been me he would have had my trolley shoved somewhere else!!
Some people need to go to school to learn some manners

Re: HIGH DRAMA WHILST SHOPPING
I wudda took the bottle off him and smacked him round the swede with it, teach the cheeky so and so to push in
Re: HIGH DRAMA WHILST SHOPPING
Hope you are ok now hun and there are no delayed reactions ... stress and RA is not a good combo. I have to admit I would have had security escort him out and press charges for assault, because that is the word for what he did to you. If you hadn't seen the bottle coming you would have been cut across your head, so it was down to your speed of reactions not his lack of intent that you weren't more seriously hurt!!! Bullies like that continue to behave in that manner as people do not stand up to them and normally there are no consequences to deal with. Good for you, standing up to him - bloody bullies should get a bit of their own treatment !!! Sorry terrier mode here at the moment
Just a precaution thing but ring up the store and ask that a report be entered in their accident book as it may have an effect on your disabling illness. They will also then sit up and be more aware of how they deal with problem customers and you will have written evidence should you need to get back to them at a later time. I'm not one for litigation but sometimes you have to keep it in mind.
Hugs and hope you are feeling a bit better now and less shook up.

Re: HIGH DRAMA WHILST SHOPPING
Have phoned the store and the Manager has already written it up in the report, she had my address details from my home delivery receipt, but unfortunately he paid cash so they have no record... but the staff are on alert x
Re: HIGH DRAMA WHILST SHOPPING
i don,t let anyone push in front of me either.i am so glad you stood up to that bully.i don,t think they should have sold him the vodka as it sounds as if he had had enough already.

Re: HIGH DRAMA WHILST SHOPPING
I was just thinking how walking sticks are very useful at times; I can't count the number of times mine has "accidentally" been put with my full weight on it on an annoying person's foot :smiles innocently I have been known to put it down at a diagonal angle too when someone is hovering too close behind me. Well what can you expect from a disabled old fuddy duddy he he
Re: HIGH DRAMA WHILST SHOPPING
Well done Lou, I'm so proud of you alot of people would let them get away with it. I hope your ok though and the trolley didn't shove into you too much
