Friday
Morning,
Feeling a bit down today... still no word on Keith being transferred. I felt sure that he would have been transferred and probably had the op today - but apparently no beds available. He is hoping that it will be today.
Also today is the day we should have been jetting off to the sun.
Never mind, all I want is Keith to get sorted and come home.
Raining quite sharp at the moment. Off into town do a bit of shopping.
Hope you have a good day xx

Re: Friday
Good morning Karen, Andrea (just sneaked in ) and everyone else that follow
Karen I think I would have been completely angry and fed up ages ago with the amount of time it's took the hospital to decide what treatment to give Keith. I expect it's hit you harder today as you were all due to go on holiday but hang in there a while longer it will get better and I expect you'll have a bigger and better holiday once everything has settled down.
I know we don't know each other but I do really feel for you at the moment and wish that things truly get better for you soon.
I hope you treat yourself to something nice whilst out shopping today as you deserve it
It's Friday not sure how I've got through this week, school disco, took Jake to 2 birthday parties, football practice, working late till 7:30 each night. One thing I did forget....grocery shopping! Least the cupboards and freezer look a bit more tidy
Hope everyone has a good day and looking foward to the weekend

Re: Friday
Good morning ladies
Rained cat, dogs and every other animal over night here and the electrical storm was fantastic
I think my patience would have worn thin with the hospital before now Karen, I cant fault the hospital when I was in last year but the way Keith has been treated is appaulling and as Di said once he is all recovered then all have a fab holiday and enjoy it oh and treat yourself in town today
Have you met yourself coming back yet Di? Sounds like it is almost possible hope you get a rest at the weekend unless Jake's diary is as full then
Have a great day all whatever your doing and stay safe xXx

Re: Friday
Good morning everyone
Karen I can completely sympathise with you, poor Keiths treatment has been like climbing through mud from
beginning onwards and now you just want him sorted and home and as today was the day for your holiday it is no wonder you feel down. Try to keep smiling though, big hugs!!
I am off to hospital with my OH in a minute to try to sort out what they are going to do about his kidney
he is a bit of a wreck at the moment bless him - doesn't like hospitals one little bit.
Hope you have a good day everyone, weather not exactly great down here, hope some of you are
getting better but the forecast looked pretty much the same all over.
Take care, catch you all later

Re: Friday
Afternoon everyone.
(((((HUGS))))) to Karen, Amy and Keith you definitely need them at the moment. Hope Keith gets his op today.
CraftyPat hope the hospital sort out you OH today too:)
Kayleigh is feeling really down today as this flu is hitting her hard she looks like she hasn't slept for weeks as her eyes have black bags under them and are swollen as if she has been punched in the face. The other 2 are driving me mad as I can't let them out to play with their friends either
Andrea, Di, Jan, Lou and everyone that follows I hope you all have a great day too

Re: Friday
Hi Ladies,
Sorry to hear that Kayleigh is so rough, lets hope this is the peak of it and it is the homeward stretch now.
OH saw the urologist and they got him in for his CT scan this morning as well, then it was back up to see
the consultant who has told him that he will go over the results of his scans on Monday/Tues with the
radiologist, but it has to come out as it is the size of a rugby ball. We have to go back on the 3oth for
them to tell him exactly how they are going about it, but he has been told that obviously due to its size
it will be a fair sized op certainly not keyhole! so he will get info on recuperation etc., so that he can
advise his works as to how long he will be out for.
He is quite happy about it as they are going for the op rather than trying to mess around with other treatments
only to end up back having an op anyway.
Fortunately he looks to be going in about two weeks after our long weekend away and he has been told to go
and enjoy and not to worry about anything, as the consultant put it this has been there for a while and you
are the same man today as you were last month, nothing has changed, so why should you.
Are you still suffering from your weekends activities Lou?
Sun is showing its face here at the moment, so off to get some washing out.
catch you later ladies

Re: Friday
Having trouble keeping a signal. Hope the weather is good for tomorrow there Pat as we are going to go to the Victory etc. Just looked on the weather satellite and looks like we are soon going to be having some more heavy rain here in Hayling Island
Re: Friday
The Victory! I can't remember the last time I went there. Live too close thats why I suppose. Do pop along the road
into Gunwharf for the papermill of course though ha! ha! and of course being on Hayling you have a Hobbycraft just
up the road.
The new destroyer is in harbour as well I believe HMS Daring (or something like that) it is an ugly looking thing from
the outside, hope it is nicer onboard.
I am sure you will enjoy the day.

Re: Friday
Glad that hubby is a bit happier with the news from the hossy Pat, as you sday at least it will get it over and done with. Thats pretty impressive... the size of a rugby ball.... ouch! Poor bloke, he will be glad when he's had the op and is just being waited on by you hand and foot x
Sorry to hear Kayleigh is so poorly Frances, give her a hug from me x
We went to the Victory in October last year when Shell visited, the dockyards are always a brill place to visit but it can be rather expensive (for my budget anyway)

Probably wont get on very much this next week, so apologies
Love
Karen and Amy xx
