Post  poppytree Sun Feb 07, 2010 12:23 pm

The roast is on, the sun going down, table laid outside and girl's fast asleep - still 32 even at this time of night (8.00pm) Our time in Adelaide is nearly over - just 2 full days left. Going house hunting again in the morning to check out prices in the southern suburbs. Clive really want's to retire out here and we are checking out feasability. Watch this space!

If your heart is where your family is then that is where you should be
I know that I just cannot wait to get back to my lot
A lot of people can stay apart, I thought I could but lately it has just became too much for me
Oh tea just about finished time to try and get to the Crafty cow
Meant to say to all
I got a card from QVC to say they have those punches as a TSV (Martha Stewart) on...................I can't remember if it wa Tuesday or Wednesday

I had never really heard of the punches until I started back on here but they look really good
I am def going to be watching on Tues night and might even treat myself Smile
I always feel a bit guilty buying punches because I have the Cricut but these look so different and special

Oh I always meant to ask you Jacky, how did you get on with that proramme for the Cricut?
I can't mind the name of the one you have (now there is a surprise) but I am seriously thinking about getting one of the two available
I think I really like the one you have but I have seen a lot of complaints about the fact that you can only install it on to one computer and if you get a new pooter they will not let you re-register it Sad ergo rendering the software useless
Did you have any problems transferring it to your new pooter?
The unofficial software looks even better but I am always wary of using software from a different company and it does seem to have it's drawbacks too
The official one is cheaper so I might end up going for that Smile Smile

Really annoyed that we couldn't install it again on my new computer Evil or Very Mad I found it really good as I understood where to place the things so it would cut out in the place I wanted it, and could group letters together to make words joined up. Martin was going to give them a ring tomorrow to find out if we can install it but if you have heard that you can't then maybe he will be wasting his time Sad

He has got to give it a try anyway Jacky
You may be lucky Wink
But it was a BIG complaint about it
If not, well, it isn't that dear but it is the principal of the thing!!!
I do see their point but there are other software discs that you can use on different computers as long as they are not run at the same time
I have a really old computer, in my craftroom which has a really big memory and it is great for crafting because I install any software on to that and it can take it
It is not connected to the internet so I wonder how that would work if I had to choose that one
This one is very rarely used for craft so it would be daft to install it on this
I do hope you get some joy with it

You need the internet to update it Sadie, I don't know how you would manage otherwise, although you can register by phone. Mine was installed on my laptop but now want it on the big computer as it has more memory etc. and runs sooooo much faster Very Happy The other thing is, I have bought two cartridges recently and neither of them are on there - one is a limited edition one and the other is the Everyday paper dolls - they have the dress-up dolls on there so can't see why the Everyday one isn't. I am going to ask Martin to ask them that too. If I can't register it on my new computer, I can still use it on my laptop but would be a bit of a pain as it all takes up space Evil or Very Mad

If you are having problems Jacky might be an idea to ring them and they might be able to issue you with a new key code for the software if thats what the problem is, if not ask them for your money back they will probably soon find a way of sorting it for you then Wink

I think jacky that if you contact provocraft they give you a code or something so you can reinstall - have a look at their website - also I think you can download upgrades as well.

You have got to try Jacky
You may find that they may allow a limited amount of spare keys for that purpose
What I told you was just what I had read on the internet not personal experience
I have the dressing up dolls one too
I know you can upload new cartridges from the internet for the software
I think that is the problem with the other software, some kind of conflict there
Did you say the limited edition was the Everyday?
I am never sure what cartridges to invest in

All sorted now thank ladies. Martin phoned them up and they sorted it their end Very Happy

The limited one is Snow friends 2009-2010 but the Everyday paper dolls is a proper full cartridge so thought that should be on there Exclamation When I go to update it says I have the updated version
