I have our youngest off today he got kicked in the ankle yesterday and was limping a bit when he got in from school played out for a lilttle while then came in to have tea before we went to see dad at the hospital, dad is fine just bored and waiting for the op. well cameron limped a bit at the hosptial and i asked to have a look and he said its fine, well got him up this morning and its really swollen so got it elevated with bag of frozen veg on it bless him. love and hugs to all poorlie hope you feel better soon, love and hugs to all.xxx

Good morning Lexie, Jane, Juli and all who follow Start the day off with a good laugh, thanks Lexie and Jane Poor Cameron, hope his ankle soon recovers. I have done something to the toes on my left foot, really hurts to walk this morning and I bruised the bottom of my right foot yesterday during our walk. It was a bit stony in one part so I think that is what caused the bruise and when I got home and was about to go up the stairs I almost missed the step and pushed my toes back - pure clumsiness Off to the theatre again this afternoon, Laughter in the Rain - the Neil Sedaka story

Good afternoon ladies ive just got back from the hairdressers had my hair permed and i feel better now. hugs to the poorlies hope the anlkes , knees and back are better soon. Ive got parents evening this afternoon a bit earlier than the time i pick Greg up so i hope i can take him home straight after . Its lovely here a bright spring morning.

Good morning at work - finished early! Its an up and down day - so what's new?

Tried out the newly refurbished Sainsbury in Epsom which opened today - very nice but dearer than Asda so I won't use it every time for my main shop. I told them off as the till dividers said I was entitled to 5p a litre off petrol but didn't get a voucher. Went to customer services and was told the offer had finished. I said they shouldn't advertise the reduction then and they arranged for me to get my 5p of so saved nearly £2 as the tank needed filling right up.....result. Not much money I know but it's the principle!

Got a doctor's appointment at 3.40 which I am not looking forward to. The examination is uncomfortable and very embarrassing. Been putting it off for a couple of years or more but really need to get things 'seen to' before we go to Oz. Wish me luck

It's weigh in tonight - I've been very good but my scales don't seem to show any loss yet.

Hi girls , been out all day then had to go to drs as chest not good , south african dr not long back from the uk , infact from Haywards Heath , a town right near East Grinstead ! He misses Sainsburys ! Daft ah ! Did a bit of shopping another pair of shoes so thats the 4th pair I've brought !!! a couple of tops and bits and bobs ! Got scraping tomorrow , had some photos taken off and cropped , dare I say it not as bad as I thought!My lions look a bit strange but what can I say ! 42 here today with very high humidity , and having a chest infection I feel very hot , but I've caught it early so Iam ok and torrow I'll feel 100% again , I think the long drive and air con in the car did'nt help !! Jane hope your drs appointment went ok , Jacky hope your toes are better , hope camrons foot/leg is better soon . Going to sort out scrapping stuff , take care big hot hugs to all xx

I'm back - waited 3 weeks to see this lady doctor (not my own who is very unsympathetic and has told me - 'it's your age' on more than one occasion) and she was great. More specialists to see but should get things sorted this year!

Afternoon...

Been lovely and sunny today - had a busy day. I seem to be working more now, than what I was when I had the children! But I wouldnt have it any other way.
Ideally I would love mum to be able to live here with us - but we have to sit down and talk about things. She seems to be coping ok, was a bit down this morning - but I start nagging and it cheers her up

Shame Karen , don't feel bad that you can't have your mum to live with you , our lives are in seasons and some are harder than others . Iam not able to sleep at moment micky is snoring his head off , and I am just so flippin hot , we need a storm to clear the air , but the night noises are wonderful the crickets , and a very noisy family of tree frogs, I love africa night noises it was great in the bush when you could hear the hyenas , lions roaring and all the othernight noises .One night in camp , I sat on the veranda and watched 2 hyenas , snuffling around they saw me and I was'nt in the least bit scared one came within 18inces of me , huge scruffy looking thing ... I was so thrilled .
Some kind of public holiday here on monday so my dad is talking about us going up to the berg for the weekend , which is up in the moutains , so he's looking into tomorrow so that will be nice be a degree or to cooler up there with no or very
little humitity ! Which is a bit of a killer at times , when you can't get dry.....
We have really made the most of mums spa , its areal pleasure , and the beach isonly minutes away, can't get Mick away from the sea , think in a previous life he must of been a old sea dog ! Right going now , slleep tight lexie xx
