I'm a newbie too !!

Hi, I live in Hull Yorkshire at the moment but am from Portsmouth (where I am returning next year). I live with my Partner and have a disabled son and 2 girls who are both students. I'm into cardmaking and spend most of my spare time in my liitle craft room making cards mostly for charity. I work as a volunteer teaching disabled people Arts and Crafts. I have been doing this for 18 months and really enjoy it. I look forward to becoming a part of this forum if you will have me !!

My daughter is Autistic and at the moment goes to a day school for kids with behaviour and communication problems but due to her vile behaviour problems she can't stay for 16+ so we are now looking for residential ...... she finishes school 276th of June so its going to be a long summer for me ..... Is your son at home full time ?

Marc is 25 this year and goes to a day centre Monday to Friday. He is autistic and has learning difficulties. Have you thought about Supported Living for her? My partner is manager for an organisation that has many people like your daughter. They either have a carer 'pop in' every so often during the day / night or they have a carer 24/7. If you have a word with the school or the Learning Disabilities Rights people in your area (ask social services) they may be able to advise you for her future. Good Luck with that as I found that YOU have to find these things out. No one tells you !!
