Went to see Mum yesterday and she was looking well and in good spirits as well. Dont think I could have gone on holiday as happy as I am otherwise.

Have loads to do today, have already got the last of the washing I need for hossy in the machine and been to tesco so ady and the kids don't starve till Sunday when he has time to go shopping LOL!!

Have just had a phone call from Bognor hospital saying that I may well be able to go in there from Tuesday so my care would be almost continuous...which would be great. The operation should keep me in Chichester hospital between 2 - 4 days they said so will likely be discharged by Monday and then come home for a day and then into Bognor!!!

Karen.... have you gone yet? Hope you get chance to read this, hope you have a fabby holiday, much nicer knowing mum is ok before you leave xxx

Now just so you don't think I am going totally bonkers.... Lexie, Janet, Jan and Jacky I will be sending out your cards (as you are all July) now so that I don't have to think about it whilst recovering...and if I asked Ady to do it they certainly wouldn't get posted!

Please excuse the cards I have had to use my stock box up and some are not of my usual type! Thought I still had a couple of weeks left to make proper individual cards!

I have put on the back that they are not to be opened....so behave yerselves!!!

OK bag is packed.... not really sure what to take as don't know whether my back will like me wearing jeans.... so have chucked a pair of joggers and a dress in there too just in case ... 3 or 4 cool summer tops (as it's meant to be a scorcher this weekend ) and half a dozen pairs of my bestest knickers!!! Gotta be nice ones if the docs are gonna see em eh? LOL

3 books..... the DS Lite and 2 games..... TENS machine... playing cards.... some sugar free sweeties (always get a dry throat in hossy) ... lightweight dressing gown.... 2 new summer nighties...... am waffling now coz I don't wanna just sit and start thinking about it!!! Just bear with me.... I'll be back to normal in no time!

Gotta take all of July's birthday cards down to the PO in a mo so that I don't have to worry about them...... got about 12 to send this month!

Have pre-written a text message for Ady to send out once I am out of recovery.... have put Jacky on recipients list and if she can update here it would be appreciated....

Have also got the girls overnight bags sorted out for their stay at Nan's tonight.... even got stuff in so I can send round ready made lunchboxes so she doesn't have to worry!

I am trying to find things to do but am running out of ideas!!!! Help... am going stir crazy...! LOL

Have left 2 messages for my sister to call ... but no luck as yet We need to ask her if she can bring Ady and girls over for visiting either for Saturday or Sunday..... we were considering hiring a car for Ady for the 3 days dad's away but it would cost near on £100 so as they will only come over once a day it would be cheaper to get taxi's (£9 each way) for the 2 days...... so thats what we have decided.

Hope she calls soon, Ady is stressed enough as it is..... he has been quite snappy with me..... I am trying to turn a blind eye!!!

Also a bit of a bummer....my mate Lena was hoping she would still be in Bognor Hossy next week when I get there but was told today that she is being discharged tomorrow She was not impressed!!

Last night Georgia and I went down to visit her and she had a little moan about how some of the things had changed since we were in there last... the main bone of contention was the fact that afternoon tea time used to be accompanied by a nice slice of cake... now though the hospital has bought in pre-packed packages of cake that are apparently yukky.,.... the patients are most put out!!! Wont bother me coz I don't eat cake!! Anyways... this morning on my trip to Tesco I went and bought them two large cakes (lemon Madiera and a Cherry Madiera) and took them into the ward for Lena... so the tea lady (Jen) is gonna cut em up and they can all have a slice with their afternoon cuppa!!! Had a call from Sister Walsh saying thank you maybe it'll make her a bit nicer to me next week when I'm in there as she is a bit of a task master!!!

Came out in Sympathy with you Lou , when we were on the beach yesturday , I was laid on a sun bed and after a while my back was killing me .... could.nt get comfy las night was doing the ironing by 6.am and been busy since , Shiela going away tomorrow so had coffee wih her then had a cheer myself up trip o the Craftbarn brougt a couple stencild and 4 papersoft paints , and pack of applicators .also arrived today was my miche bag that I ORDEREDON MONDAY , AGAIN TO CHEER MYSELF UP !!!Ooops ! next month I'll need anothr treat to get over the credit card bill !!!am very naughty and should no better .....

Afternoon ladies. Very humid here this afternoon- not pleasant. Picked up my new glasses this morning - seem OK but feel heavier than old ones which they shouldn't. Trying to get stuff organised for card club tonight - never can make up my mind what to take. We're doing easel cards.

Been checking our Auusie houses in the areas we would like to be in and this is the sort of thing we could get using 2/3 of the money from our little 3 bed semi at current exchange rates. Last year something like this would have barely used half our money and left a lot over to put in a pool and still have a steady income to supplement the pensions.
