We got lotsa snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It snowed a bit yesterday but we got about a foot overnight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just checking the schools to see if the kids gotta go in... mind you they were shut last year with alot less than we've got now!!!

We had more snow overnight, but not as much as the night before. One of the local farmers came around with his tractor trying to clear the side roads.. he has flattened the snow... but as more is expected today.. its not going to be very good.
Amy's school is closed again today - she is supposed to be going to two 18th birthday parties Friday and Saturday, but I cant see her going.
Mum is getting fed up, but I go down as much as I can, but really dont want to risk bringing her up here.
Keiths appointment got cancelled yesterday... best of it was the transport dept hadnt let the Clinic know and they rang up to see where Keith was! He is supposed to be going again tomorrow, but I am sure that will get cancelled.
Shops are running low on stuff and they are having to limit people to buying bread and milk.
I have put my Asda christmas order in to be delivered 23rd December. The order (at the moment) consists of a bottle of sherry, Baileys and Rum ... oh and cream!! But as long as the order was £25 I get my delivery slot - I should think by the end of the day all the slots will have gone! Fingers crossed all the snow will have gone by then!

Awww Karen, hope your mum is ok.... it must be hard for all of you but you can't take chances.

My hubby has swept the foot of snow off the car and I am waiting for a phone call to let me know he got there safe.... really hoped he would walk today but seeing as he is still not well I think maybe taking a chance on the roads is preferable to getting pneumonia out there!

We have been keeping a close eye on the forecasts and yesterday it said our snow woulkd be rained away on Friday and Saturday.......

Love that sign Lou Well I have finally emerged from the bed covers - Good morning Lou, Karen and all who follow. The alarm went off this morning and Martin said he wasn't getting up straight away after looking out the window. So we stayed in bed and he got a text to say the school was closed so I got him to go down, let Molly out, and make me a cuppa Had my heat pad on my back and was very cosy sat watching the tv and chatting on facebook on my mobile. Molly took 2 steps outside the door, did a pee, and came back in Now if Martin got his boots on and went off down the path to the field she would have been after him like a shot and thoroughly enjoying the snow. Poor thing, her sight is really deteriorating - when it was sunny the other day and she was on the field Martin started to walk in and as soon as he went into the shadow of the trees she started running in circles trying to smell where he was so he had to go back out into the sun to call her (and she's deaf) then make sure she was by his side until she got into the garden.

Karen, you can only do your best. My mum moans that she doesn't see anyone but one sister goes every morning and takes her a paper - also takes her to doctors, hospital, dentist appointments, gets her prescriptions when she has to go and takes her shopping every week. My other sister goes in every evening checks she is ok, pulls her blinds and curtains in her bedroom and locks up for her as she gets tired during the evening and can't walk as easily. Trouble is they have their own homes to see to too so never really sits and talks to her. When the neighbour pops in for a chat she moans that she is always coming in to gossip and wants to know everything - nobody can win She used to be such a laugh but I think being restricted in her movements gets her down.

Can't believe Ady went in this morning Lou, thought he would be snowbound. I am sooooo glad that Ian made it to Liverpool and back safely yesterday because he certainly wouldn't have been able to go today.

Yeah...... I have managed to put a santa hat on myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Morning ladies. Glad you're all enjoying the snow! TYpical though my recyling bin is full to the brim and the council aren't doing any bin collections and we've only got about 6 inches! Seems like a good day to get round to making the Christmas cake so will be absent for a while! Then more card inserts. next year I'm going to do the insides at the same time as the outsides!

We've had another light dusting of snow overnight (about 5" in total now) Michaela gets up every morning hoping she doesn't have to go in but the schools round here never seem to close ( all the others in the area do but our catchment area doesn't). Kayleigh is still in a lot of pain and the cold doesn't help so she is still off school,

Hugs to Kayleigh, poor girl is missing so much school at the moment. Hope they get a result soon for her. We were lucky Sue, ours was collected on Tuesday just before the snow. I tend not to do inserts in a lot of my cards and stamp inside it. The ones you buy don't have inserts. I do inserts for immediate family or if the card is coloured.

Inserts was generic term for inside of cards. Some have got inserts where I've wanted to hide brads or cards is textured - others I'm stamping inside. Nearly finished now only another 16 to go!

I haven't done any of mine yet, still got them to do. Perhaps I should have done them as I went along
