Another new one

Hi my name is Marion and I live in Norfolk,

15th April. Now I know you a bit more I am adding a bit more about me.

My darling husband John died at the end of September last year. He had to finish work six years before. He had Emphysema, it wasn't too bad when he finished work but gradually got worse and then it affected his heart.

I have two daughters.

Deborah who is 43, she spent 25 years in the RAF, after joining when she was 17, and "retired" two years ago. She is married to Karl who is still in the RAF. They have a little boy Jake who is 9 years old, and then when she got to 40 she decided she wanted another baby! So now they have Hannah who will be 3 in May.

Sarah is my younger daughter, she is 37, was in no hurry to leave home and didn't get married untl she was 30. She is married to Tony who is managing director of a plane ejection seat company. They have the one little boy, his name is Matthew and he will be 4 at the end of August and so starts to school in September.

Welcome to our forum Marion, we are very light on the ground here at the moment with people on holiday and the weather so nice outside. They may all come back when the rain appears again

Hi Marion and welcome. Nice to see some new blood. as Jacky said its a bit quiet at the moment - that reminds me, when does Lexie get back?

As I have already said somewhere my darling husband died last September, and I haven't really got back into it yet with my card making, but I am getting there.

Glad you are getting back into it Marion, it is hard. I lost my younger brother 4 years ago next week and it still brings tears to my eyes when I think about him. I think the friends I have made on here made it all so much better too

I have on line friends that I talk to every evening, and to be honest, I don't know where I would be without them. They have been a tower of strength. I was an only child, so no brothers or sisters, and I rarely see Johns family (thank goodness) so really I just have my two daughters and their families, and of course my friends who have all been a tower of strength.

I am sorry to hear about your brother, but glad the friends you have on here have helped you.

Jacky, all I did with the fairy's wings was to colour green around the edges, tehn scribbled on the wings with a glue pen, then just added glitter, the sort that doesn't change the colour underneath.

Hello Marion Iam lexie , I've been on holiday in South Africa visting my mum and my brother , was there for 10 weeks it was lovely and then came home 3 weeks ago and have'nt been well but Iam fine now and happy to be back ! Welcome to the forum hope you are enjoying it all ,
