Easter Saturday
Good morning all.
I have been up since 6.30 and the sun was just peeping through, so it looks like another lovely warm day.
I have a friend coming round this morning, we are having a chat and craft day! as usual though I think it will be more chat than craft lol Don't think we shall be staying in all day in this lovely weather though, the patio is calling lol
I bought two lovely outfits at the charity shop yesterday, long skirts with tops that match, my Deborah says they are "hippy" looking! but she loves them So I got four items for £3.25 each, and with my "staff discount" I landed up getting one of them free
Am off now to get ready, as my friend is coming about 9.30, this way we can have full day.
Hope you all have a good day

Re: Easter Saturday
Morning Marion and all who follow...
I ache all over! Yesterday we went to York for the day - had a really good day, sun was out, lots of street entertainers, lovely girly shops for myself and Amy to browse around, and just a nice change for me. Was going into Betty's... but the queue was extremely long and didnt really want Keith standing around for too long.
I bought myself one on those long dresses.... really pleased with it.
When we could walk no more... we went and sat in the park and did a bit of people watching.
Going down to see Mum later on, but this morning.... going into town to get Amy's eyes tested.
Enjoy your day xx

Re: Easter Saturday
Good morning Marion, Karen and all who follow What a bargain Marion, they do have some good things in the charity shops now. Have fun with your friend today. I didn't get any crafting done yesterday after all. I emptied some of my big pots and put the plants into the garden now so there isn't too many on the patio. Still got a few to do. Also put some weed and feed on the front lawn.
So glad you have had a great day in York Karen. I really love it there, although I have only been there a few times. We are supposed to be having a BBQ this afternoon, with Ian & Ruth. Just hope Callie doesn't start digging up the turf or jumping on my new raised beds (Marion - Callie is their Labradoodle puppy who is just mad but adorable). Hope we dont get the thunderstorms which are supposed to be popping up later.
Enjoy your day whatever you are all doing

Re: Easter Saturday
Wow Jane, what fantastic photo's, and all those bluebells, I don't think I would want to come away if it were me.
Louise, yes, I certainly got some bargains at the charity shop. Its amaing how many things are brought in that are brand new, they still have the labels on them.
Jacky, my friend and I didn' t get much crafting done lol I started on a card but didn't like how it was going so am going to ask another friend of mine for help. My friend made one card, and then we started punching out pieces and putting them into ATC cello bags. I am going to take them to the charity shop to see if they sell. It will be a way of using up my bits of card an also helping the charity shop in the bargain.
Karen, you certainly sound as if you enjoyed your day out. Doesn't it make a difference when you can go out and not have any worries, just to enjoy yourself. I always wear long skirts or dresses, for me anyway they cover a multitude of sins lol
This afternoon when my friend and I were just packing away my daughter, husband and two grandchildren arrived.
So out came the paddling pool and the outside toys and on the grass they went.
My son in law decided he would tidy out the shed for me, (I had droppd a few hints) as John had so many tools. I told him to take anything there he needed and throw away things that were rusty and no good (John would never throw anything away). So now I have a lovely tidy shed, still have some tools, he took some with him and most of all I can move around in the shed lol
Oh we had thunder and lightening about 4pm, then it rained, but not a lot.

Re: Easter Saturday
Oh Marion, John sounds just like my Dad with his tools. He somehow collected so many and when he died they were all collected together - some were so old didn't seem worth keeping and my sisters were going to take them all to the tip but Martin said he had seen people doing a good trade in old tools at a car boot so he took them all. He had a box of little things which he priced at 50p, then a box of £1 things etc. and he did a roaring trade. I came up late and looked on his stall saying "you're selling a load of old tat" and the guy on the stall next to him said but he is selling it. He was amazed that he had sold a rusty old paper clip (the ones you squeeze two things at the top and the bottom opens to put in the paper) for 50p. He said you can buy news ones for less than that Martin hadn't even realised he had as the trade was so fast he was just looking at it and if it was small it was 50p. He couldn't keep up with it. We got Mum a few hundred pounds out of his rubbish. A lot of people wanted the tools as they were better made in the old days, just maybe needed a new handle.
