Wednesday
Good morning all. Had a better sleep last night so ready to do a bit of gentle housework. Arm not so tender this morning. Hugs to those who need them and enjoy your day
Re: Wednesday
Good morning ladies.
Jacky, good to hear you had a good nights sleep, it does help doesn't it.
I also had a good nights sleep last night and didn't wake up early so I am raring to go today
Had a lovely time with my ex employer/friend yesterday morning, and had a laugh at Silver Threads.
Its the Charity shop for me this morning, then this afternoon I am having my hair cut. With me now going away in August as well as September I need to start getting it under control.
It rained here during the night and the sun is out at the moment, although its supposed to rain today. Ah well, I will take my brolly lol
Hope you enjoy the day

Re: Wednesday
Morning.
Had another good nights sleep, woke at 7.45! Thought it was only going to be about 6.00!!
Keith just gone off to the Drs, Amy still in bed, and I have got to motivate myself!
Today have got a meeting at the CH with Social Worker. Also going to take down that piece of embroidery that I loaned out - have had a lady on the phone wanting my permission to show photographs of it, she also sent along a letter that my Auntie wrote. Thought Mum might like to read it. They are also sending a letter of thanks from the History Group. Apparently it went down really well, and they even had people asking if it was on show... as there are so many families mentioned on it. Will have to get a pic taken of some of it as it is so detailed.
Just starting to rain, so thats put paid to any gardening... not that I was even thinking about it
Right... have a lovely day xx

Re: Wednesday
Karen I am very intrigued now. I can't remember you saying anything about a piece of embroidery but it sounds like a really interesting piece. Just sat looking through all your posts in case I missed something while I was away but can't see anything.
Glad to see you on here Lou. Make sure you don't overdo things. I am making cards today too, so many this month. Just been out to deliver two.

Re: Wednesday
Afternoon ladies. Lovely to see you Lou. I don't remember Karen mentioning her embroidery before either - think we need a piccie!!
Obviously feeling a bit more awake today as I've spent the morning "spring" cleaning my bedroom! And not before time either I'm ashamed to say. Made a card yesterday for Dec as he's going into hossie next week for grommets. They discovered he has only 50% hearing as he has glue ear in both ears - his mum and dad thought he was just ignoring them but poor soul couldn't hear them! Hopefully the grommets will work, his speech will improve and he will not be so naughty at preschool! And maybe he will eat better as well!

Re: Wednesday
Well I got out my craft making stuff and the doorbell went. It was the dog groomer, I had forgotten she was coming and my calendar is in a different place so not so easy to notice. Had to pile the craft stuff away again and get out of the room.
Glad you have got some cleaning done Sue, my whole house needs doing and now there is fluff all over the place where the dryer blows it. Poor Dec, hope it helps him. I remember the boy up the road had it done and it really improved his speech and behaviour. I had forgotten about that until you mentioned it. He is 32 now, it was a long time ago.

Re: Wednesday
Sorry ladies... thought I had mentioned the embroidery.
My Auntie gave my Mum a piece of embroidery that she had done years and years ago. It was of the village Auntie Queenie and my Dad was brought up in. All the houses are named of the people who lived in them. It really is a beautiful piece of work. I lent it to a History group who were over the moon with it. Auntie Q included herself swinging on a swing. A haystack on fire, so much detail in it, you see something different every time.
It has been suggested I 'lend' it to a museum, they would probably frame it (would cost a fortune for me to do it) But really dont want to let it go, Auntie Q gave it to Mum, probably because we live closest to Laxton. Auntie Q's son and daughter live miles away.
It is certainly something to treasure.

Hiya hunni, glad you had a nice time with your friend xxx
I am ok.... taking me longer to get over than I thought it would but I think thats because Ady has been off and I haven't had the 'rest' I was supposed to have over the weekend... still feeling rather tender and my hand is very painful, have a big bruise where the canula went in and its really sore.... wont know for 3?4 weeks if its had any effect but will keep fingers crossed!
When I went in to have it done I had to fast from the night before and although I had to be at the hospital for 8.15am they didn't take me down to theatre till half eleven...whilst I was waiting my blood sugar level dropped and I got a really bad headache and was all sweaty (two of the main symptoms if blood sugar level is low) so they allowed me to have 30ml of pineapple juice...then when I got down to theatre Dr Donlin said he usually wouldn't sedate someone if they had eaten or drank in the last 3 hours...so I said to him....well do it without sedation then! He looked at me as though I was mad!! But he did it and said I was very brave (patronising man) ....it wasn't pleasant but luckily I have a high pain threshold (told him I was discharges from back surgery after a day and a half) and it was not unbearable. Glad I didn't have the sedation as it meant I could go home earlier!! I remember laying on the theatre bed at 11.56am with those horrid little nasal air tubes stuck up me nose and counting off all the jabs he stuck in my lower back....it got to double figures!!! Then the worst bit about it is the achy pain that goes down your leg as he put the epidural in.....oooh I felt that!
Still was only in recovery a short time and back up to my room...had to lay on my back for half hour slightly propped so I could have a ham sarnie and a coffee...then a wee and Ady helped me get dressed and I was off!!! They were laughing at me cos I wanted to go home. Don't suppose they see many NHS patients that eager to leave their plush rooms and on tap tea/coffee and nurses!!!
I was home just after half one! PMSL!!!
