Saturday once again
Just where do the weeks go, almost the end of July already. Good morning all, sun trying to get through at the moment. Martin has just brought me a cuppa up before he goes to meet Ian, Sally and Lizzie for the cycling trip to Shoreham by Sea and back.
Have a good day today whatever you are doing. I have cards to do, wish I could do them as quickly as Jane and Lou Hugs to those who needs one today.

Re: Saturday once again
Morning ladies.
Jacky, you aren't the only one that wishes she could make cards faster I just wish I had more ideas. I look at blogs and think yes I will try that sketch, and it lands up in the bin
Janet, I can't remember what the Wizard is like, but I bought a Robo when it first came out, but for the past few years its been in the bottom of my wardrobe!
I have my grandson who is 9 coming for a sleep over again tonight. He came on Wednesday night and asked then if he could come tonight. I think he likes the one to one that we have. I never mind having him, he is as good as gold when he is here, lol thats why I don't mind.
Oh look, this is what he made when he came to stay on Wednesday night. He wanted to make his mum and dad an anniversary card, but he had seen one somewhere that he liked, it turned out to be one of those twisted easels which I have never made. But worked it out and it was easy. All I did was to cut out the basic card for him and he did the rest.
What do you think?
I am wondering what he will be doing today, as he loves to get in my craft room, but I really must show him how to tidy my desk when he has finished

Re: Saturday once again
How lovely Marion, he has a gift there bless him, Oh I did laugh when I read about your machine the Wizard is purple in colour and has a cranking handle that you chrank backwards and forwards it would more than likely do my bat wings some good if I used a little more often
Re: Saturday once again
thanks Janet, I have a feeling another card will be on its way tonight lol
Ah, the Wizard, I am with you now. lol I actually have one of those lol though its never used, but I didn't buy it. A friend of mine bought it, got fed up with it and asked if I wanted it for free! so I did, but I already had my Cuttlebug which I do use a lot, so here I am stuck with the wizard, and its no good trying to sell it to anyone, as its so heavy it would cost an arm and a leg to post it ;(

I have to agree with you Marion, I cant say I have seen them for sale for such a long,
Thinking about a cuttlebug the urge is getting stronger

Re: Saturday once again
Jacky before I forget again, I was going to give you a ring, please could you tell me again which embossing folder did you use on my card?
Re: Saturday once again
Janet, no I haven't seen them for sale in ages either, think everyone is the same, can't sell them because of the weight.
Oh yes, a Cuttlebug, now we are talking. I bought quite a few of the nestabilites when it first came out, haven't bought any recently though because of the cost, no they haven't gone up, its my wages that have gone down!
I would advise anyone to get one, so easy to use, so easy to store, and they don't weigh much.
Am I tempting you more yet?

Re: Saturday once again
Morning ladies. Beautiful day here and feeling a bit more sociable! I've got yet another UTI and hoped it would go on its own but succumbed to getting the antibiotics yesterday!
I love my cuttlebug but have been tempted by the Grand Calibur which does A4 but won't take the thicker dies so think I'll stick to Cuttlebug. I've also got a robo Marion - Roy bought it for me for Christmas a couuple of years ago but couldn't really get on with it. Anyway decided I should really try and if still no success would sell it. But there is new software for it which you can download and it seemed to be so much easier so I'm going to persevere. I'll take a photo of what I made and put it in my gallery later.
Love your grandson's card- how old is he?

Re: Saturday once again
I looked at that Sue, because it took the a4, I am not to much up on these cutter and embossers, but it looks more towards the cuttlebug I think

Sizzix Janet http://www.sizzix.co.uk/product/656982/sizzix-textured-impressions-embossing-folders-4pk-butterfly-migration-set
Sorry to hear you have problems again Sue, not nice, and I hope your antibiotics work quickly for you.

Re: Saturday once again
Marion, your grandson did a brilliant job on that card, I haven't a clue how to make a twisted easel card Just had a look at your gallery Sue, it is great. Janet, I would go for the Cuttlebug or the Big Shot, most people get on with them both and Sue I was going to say the Grand Caliber but didn't realise it wouldn't do the thicker dies.
Re: Saturday once again
Thank you Jacky for the embossing reply, my friend really loved that, like me, I shall pass it on, I have to say I did do a twisted easel card a couple of weeks ago I was really chuffed when I finished it I see Joanna Sheen has a Big Shot on offer at the moment.
I have given up on the flipping cracking machine and it has gone into the loft
So on the look out now for a cuttlebug

Re: Saturday once again
I love my Cuttlebug - it gets plenty of use too!
Finished off another 5 cards (in my gallery)
I've been sorting all my paper scraps and matching toning/coordinating papers. Now grabbing handfuls that look good together and decorating blank cards ready for when I get round to stamping and colouring a few more Tildas.
While the Cuttlebug is on the desk I've been making corners, doilies, frames, butterflies, borders and hearts using my Marianne and other dies and adding them to the embellishment pile! More pix to follow!

Hi there ladies, cant get on main pc today but have decided as I miss the forum so much I am gonna have to master it on my little phone. I am sure it will become less annoying the more often I do it! I HOPE SO ANYHOW! So from now on I will try and post each day.
We have all had haircuts today, both the girls have had a fringe cut in..photos on Facebook! I've just had the usual short back and sides!

Marion your grandson is very talented. For a lad to choose such lovely bright colours and match it all up so well shows he has an artistic flair. Keep going lad, you'll be the new bloke demo-ing on tv in no time! Don't know his name as I am one of the rare crafters who doesn't watch create and crap etc!! Is it Martin or something?
Re: Saturday once again
It does get easier I use it quite a bit now, looks like the last time you did it was Jan's birthday cos you haven't deleted the title lol.
Deleted the flippin title this time Jacky PMSL
Ner ner...done it now!! Thanks for pointing it out Jacky cos I'd never have noticed!! Hehe!!
Re: Saturday once again
well done. Don't know why your phone kept the title, mine just shows it blank like it does on the computer when I just do reply.
