Right price for cards
I have just gone into a shop in town
that I rarely go into and on the counter
was a box of handmade cards(very basic and not
very well made either, like mine are perfect )
I just had to look at the price €3.50 for C6,
I charge that for C5 and its personalised
I am thinking maybe its time for a price rise

Re: Right price for cards
How long had they been there though sis, might have been sitting there for months
Re: Right price for cards
I have a flat rate of £2.50 for A5 cards to cover costs and anything else they want to donate goes to charity. Sometimes i use it to buy materials to make cards for the troops other times just donate cash to various charities. I have been given £10 for a card and also £2.50 but I leave the option open for them to show their appreciation he he
Re: Right price for cards
I said that , that what I made would pay for what I buysome hope
I would have to be churning out cards like Clintons do
I dont really sell that many, I am more addicted to buying I think, although I do enjoy making commissioned cards
I was only havin the same convo with Sadie last nite
we like to organise our stuff over an over an over again

Re: Right price for cards
I've seen some cards around my area for sale. They were very basic too infact. They were charging £3.00. I always look at handmade cards that I find for sale on my travels and am more often than not shocked by the price and poor quality.
I sell my A6 for between £1.50 and £2.50 depending on the work on them and my A5 are a standard £3.00

Re: Right price for cards
I do 1.50 to 2.50 and if they give more its lovely, but I find a great deal of pleasure in just making them, I have never been artistic, but I love card making, Janet x

I charge between £1.50 & £2.50 also. But like Jayne don't sell that many.. I just like creating them. I must admit I surprised at some of the prices charged for very basic designs!!!
