August card
Thank you all for your lovely words about the bodice card! I needed nice things - I have spent the last 3 weeks between St. Nics hospice and Addenbrooks as my aunt is in the last stages of cancer. I am looking forward to finding the time to try out iris folding - never done it before! The paper for the bodice is 8x8 scrapbook paper from a stack that I ran through the printer to put the template on the reverse, then I cut it out twice and stuck the pieces together to get the colour on the inside and out.
I look forward to seeing the September cards!
Thanks!

Re: AUGUST GALLERY AND THANK YOU POSTINGS
Sorry to hear about your Aunt Alison. Thank you for letting us in on your secrets, what a great idea to get it double sided.

Card swap and Thanks
Oh Dear! I hadn't realized I had to post my cards online (if I do that people will see them!) fortunately, I don't know how to do it, phew. If anyone can help I shall try, but I'm not sure I shall be able to do it as, despite numerous attempts, I was unable to send to Jayne a photo of card. Has anyone else had a problem with inserting photo's into messages?
Great thanks to Mikki, who sent me a lovely card in hues of copper and gold. it's beautiful, thank you, MIkki.
Good luck to everyone with the Autumn theme.
Christine.

Thanks
Sorry this is late but I haven't been able to get to the forum for a while. I received a lovely card from Jayne, a high-fashion boot in the perfect paper, and it even had a tag with my name on. (A good touch, is it all right if I borrow it Jayne?) Thank you Jayne, I think it was worth all the stress I suffered before sending mine! (My daughter made me a Mothering Sunday card this year, and passed on all the surplus materials afterwards, saying she wouldn't be making any more as she found it too stressful, and I know how she feels.)

Re: AUGUST GALLERY AND THANK YOU POSTINGS
Photos aren't compulsory but nice to see if you can post them. Thanks and possitive comments however are always welcome.
Do you have a photobucket account? Its free!
This is what I do
1. Take photo
2. download to your PC
3. Open photobucket and select directory if you have more than 1
4. Select size of photo you want (I use thumbnails or small)
5. download your photo following on-line instructions
6. select the IMG code below the photo you want and cut and paste it into your post
7. preview then send.

I must spend more time on the forum, I only read the last few comments on this thread before jumping in to send my thanks for lovely cards, so misunderstood what was being done. Looking through tonight I realized there were five pages of comments, (and horror, suddenly saw my own card, posted by Jayne) so am now better informed. I'm pleased Jayne had the good sense to post her own card so everyone can see how lovely it is. Thank you Jane, for all your helpand instruction, it was really good of you to take so much trouble. Unfortunately you assumed too high a level of knowledge on my part about forum-connected items, (you couldn't have assumed too low a level!) I am a stranger to photo buckets, - and IMG codes? Your instructions are beautifully clear, and would have been a great help if only I had the most basic knowledge. Thanks again, I shall just have to persevere.

Re: AUGUST GALLERY AND THANK YOU POSTINGS
It was a lovely card too Christine - dont put yourself down and we all had to start on the computer at some time. This was my first forum and I didnt think I would be able to do all the things I do. On the old forum there was a post by Anne explaining how to put photos on and it was explained very clearly so I learned from that. I still have a bit of trial and error though

Hi
Thank you, encouragement is wonderful! I feel particularly foolish because I'm not a stranger to computers really, I somehow qualified as a PC Technician (City & Guilds Level 2, not Microsoft or anything like that) a few years ago, and although I have sadly forgotten a lot, and of course things change rapidly in technology anyway, I can still take a computer to bits (and on a good day manage to put it back together) but the things on the forum are a foreign language to me. Never mind, everyone is extremely helpful, and I hope to become proficient eventually, in the meantime it's fun. With such great responses anything is possible.
Have a good day, and thank you

Re: AUGUST GALLERY AND THANK YOU POSTINGS
Don't beat yourself up hun, hardware knowledge is not the same as software knowledge and then on top of that there's internet speak [I can't remember the language used] which at times is like semi programming. Start off with the Photobucket part and the rest will come along with it, and in the meantime we could help download the picture from your photobucket
