Morning ladies.

Well, at least there wasn't any frost here overnight, of which I am really glad, as I forgot to put my little car in the garage last night.

Charity shop for me this morning, so glad to be doing something after the boring week end.

Hope you all enjoy the day

Good morning Marion and all who follow Very Happy
Got to go food shopping this morning then plan to do some more crafting. Just remembered I will go to the Art of Craft too and buy my tickets for the Make It Show at Farnborough next month too.
Enjoy your day at the Charity shop Marion, at least you get to speak to someone. Hugs to those who need them.

Morning ladies...

It started off really nice earlier on, but now its clouding over - think the weather must know I have put my washing machine on.
Busy day, if it stays fine... building work will resume on the front wall, which means an endless supply of teas and coffees! Going to see Mum later and a bit of tidying up here.
Bailey is on time out, she has been so naughty this past few days - not sure whether its got something to do with her ear (had to take her to the vet about it and she is having drops in it) but she is nipping again - went through it when she was small (then the teeth were like needles) now she is doing it again, big teeth through, not so sharp but more power in her jaws - it doesnt really hurt, but we have got to get her out of this habit - at the moment its a battle of the wills!
Well... hope everyone has a good day - take care xx

OOh Jacky if you're going to Art of Craft can you do me a favour and find out whether they are doing their usual sale of used items? They've done it the last two years - I've taken stuff across priced up and they sell it that weekend for you (hopefully) and a percentage goes to charity (Phyllis Tuckwell last year)

Karen...before I start waffling on....Rolo used to be a very nippy dog and we got him out of it by...now let me try and explain this so you can understand...erm.. when Bailey opens gob to bite down grab her lower jaw and clamp her tongue down by wrapping your hand round the jaw....the dog instantly hates the feeling of the tongue being restricted and very quickly will gt out of the habit. Now you know Bailey best and obviously don't do it if you feel she has the temperament to do harm. Most dogs will react well to this unpleasant experience and it should only take a few times for her to work it out. Also by compressing the tongue she will immediately not grip with the top teeth but will just open up and try to pull away. You do need to hold firm tho for a few seconds so that she realises its a punishment for doing somehing wrong. We were given this tip by a vet and Rolo only did it 4 times after...he learnt really quick.

Good morning girls

How are we all today?

Hope you get yur tickets booked Jacky.

Janet not long with the school runs...half term soon!

Marion hope you have a good morning at the shop. Shame about family being poorly but what a lovely son in law.

Well I had a text from our Lexie yesterday and she is feeling a bit down at the moment. She is working on it and hopes to beback to her usual self soon. She sends her love to you all.

We had a fab trip to london on saturday. Went to the Dr Who Experience at Olympia. We also squeezed in a trip to the Natural History Museum for a few hours. Emily was beside herself with excitement and she and her best mate had a wonderful time. Ady and I thoroughly enjoyed it too. Have been quite sore since but it was soooooo worth it.

Lou... thank you so much for the tip - we have tried it and touch wood ... I think it is working.
Its very true what you said that when you hold the mouth she tried to get away. Bailey doesnt know how to play gentle, and although she isnt getting nasty - we have to stop it now.
She has got wise to our time out sessions... she just throws herself on her back and wont move an inch!
So we are going to keep with this and fingers crossed it will work.
We have tried 'yelping' like what her brothers and sisters would have done, ignore her, even bitten her back ... gently! So a big thank you from me, Amy and Keith!
Bailey isnt quite so sure though!
