Magic Monday
Good morning Ladies and Gents,
Stamperama was really good yesterday the only problem was the heat in the hall, I thought I was melting everyone was saying how unbearable it was.
I brought loads of goodies, I got some Spellbinder cutting templates that work in the Cuttlebug, the ones I got are scalloped circle, two Christmas baubles and some other shapes they were really cheap as well. I am a member of the Clarity stamps project club and I'm friends with the own Barbara, I wanted her set of stamps "t'was the night before Christmas" she gave me a £1 discount on each stamp and then gave me three stamps as a present, which was really nice of her, but I felt bad taking them as I know she is struggling financially (she wont have a problem me saying this as she is a very open person)
I then brought some templates at another stall where the owner is also a friend the total was £27 and he said just give me £20, he always does this so I always take him and his wife pressies, like choc's, beer and wine, and he likes my kind of books so I give him the ones that I have read
I also found some really nice patchwork number stamps by a company called dimension fourth.
So all in all it was a good day.
I hope you all had a good Sunday. I'm looking forward to the birthday club starting up, in one of the forum I use to be in they also had a Christmas club, which works in the same way except it's only once a year, they had names for all their group, like the Christmas Belles. We should be the Birthday Moo's.
Well time to go and make Alan some breakiie as he is starting Jury service today.
Have a great day what ever you are doing.
xx

Re: Magic Monday
Really pleased you had a good day yesterday, regardless of the heat. I love craft shows but unfortunately Wales is a vaccuum when it comes to these events so I always have to figure the travel costs into the scenario before deciding to go or not. We do not have many craft shops either and most are out of town when they do exist. I do travel to the Make-it show at the beginning of the year as I can get to see you guys at the same time
It was lovely and sunny here about an hour ago but now is grey and murky so after taking Tash to the vets it will be a day in making cards for me Or at least playing with my card making stuff he he

Magic Monday
Hi All
Hope you are all having a good day. Glad you had a good day Mikki I love spending money at craft fairs. Such a great pass time he he
Weather was great at 6.30 this morning, brilliant sunshine but now overcast. Another day of rain to look forward to. Why is August always like this??
Still gonna try and do some crafting today that should put a smile on my face.

Re: Magic Monday
Good mornin Mikki, Jen, louie & All
Wet start here although I can see a little blue sky poking thru
but its not gonna last long according to the weather forecast,
Ireland must be a bit like Wales Jen with a lack of craft shops
my nearest one is about 1 hour 20 mins drive, we have one
a little nearer but its geared more towards art than craft, and
we have a place called Woodies DIY they have a small range
of craft bits, but most is embellishments which aren't great.
Sounds like you had fun Mikki lots of stash to play with
Well enjoy your day

Wow Mikki you did do well. I'm pleased you had a great time even with the draining heat.

What a great bargain you had Mikki. I love the clarity stamps. I also have Barbaras dvd on how to use the brayer to print the images in reverse. Must have had it 18 months now and still haven't had a go Why am I so scared to try new things It's only a card after all, I can always throw it away. Must try it out soon.
