We bought one of these for my daughters boyfriend's birthday. You can have anything you want as a frame - you put your own photos in of course. They were selling them in the shopping centre in Poole but he was only there for a couple of weeks as he travels around the country but he did ours in 20 minutes Shocked and it cost £35.

Maybe, I havent got one so don't know how thick the cricut will take. This was mounting board and he did a double mount so the bottom mount had the holes cut out smaller than the top one and it was in red. You had a big choice of colours too Very Happy The machine he used was enormous Very Happy

Think your on right track there Sadie, wouldn't have thought the card you cut letters into would have to be that thick at all

I know what you mean Scotty, as the Cricut is limited in the thickness of the card but it has given me a few ideas too.

If you used the Full 12 inch length of the Cricut mat
to cut the full name, then you could cut individual letters
a little smaller to put under them, unless you was really
clever and could work out the spacing, then just place
your piccys in the holes, I know what i mean just hard to
explain, the letters would be like the negative, not the
letters you cut out but the holes left behind from cutting
them out , if that makes any sense at all lol!
Hmmmm might have a go at the weekend

I actually understood that!!!
OMG!
That's what I was thinking
Woohoo
This is brilliant
I think we are all on the same track
Could be done by hand too using a scalpel
You could print out large letters and use them as a template

My mounting board is 27 inches long and the letters are 5 1/2 inches high to put the photos in. Can a Cricut do things that big. I don't know as I haven't got one .......... yet Wink

The Cricut will cut letters up to 5 1/2 inches Jacky
For a short name it would be ok but a longer name
would need to do more than one cut

the expressions does bigger
But that is too far above my reach
How about putting fancy floral paper behind the letters?
Or as Jayne suggested....Mirri Board
Or glitter card/ paper behind 'Merry Christmas'
WOW!!!
