Re: what kind of paper do you use as inserts?
I always use an insert
I used to use just ordinary paper but am now being a good girl
I tend now to use good quality paper
My latest being printable pearlised paper
I use computer generated inserts a lot to match the front of the card either that or lightly decorate it to match
I either print or stamp a verse or greeting inside
It really is personal taste though
Hope that helps and doesn't confuse you further

I use copy paper for most cards as it is only a couple of £s for a whole ream (500 sheets)
Re: what kind of paper do you use as inserts?
Nowadays I use cheap 170 gsm matt photo copy paper, sold as £1 per 100 at our local cheapie shop. Not good enough quality for printing images for toppers but great for backing papers and inserts.

I always use the lining paper Anne sells. It's brilliant quality and 9p a sheet.

Thank to Sam, I now use a good quality paper for inserts. It really does finish off a card that you've put a lot of effort into.
If you get to see MooVision tomorrow I am showing a decorated insert, one of the cards we're doing has a punched one.

I use copy paper and always print a verse on before I put them into the cards
Re: what kind of paper do you use as inserts?
I am a bit slow in using inserts.
It looks like I need to start using them.
It's been educational reading this thread,
Thanks ladies

That makes me feel better that I'm not alone
I shall have to nip back to Anne's when I can and have a look at her lining paper.

Re: what kind of paper do you use as inserts?
There are times where I don't use inserts...I just stamp a sentiment inside.. Other times I put a piece of lighter color of cardstock in the printer and type out a sentiment on that and print it out and then use some decorative scissors around that piece and stick it inside the card.

In the beautiful card Mikki sent me from last months swap she had used thin photographic paper as an insert and it looked soooo good that I used some as an insert for my son's birthday card
It had a nice shiny surface too

I love textured paper. I try to find a good paper for it though because I learned my lesson before in my cardmaking project.

Re: what kind of paper do you use as inserts?
Hi there...
I use several different sorts of paper for inserts.....
If i am doing just general cards for my family and friends I use normal cheap rpinting paper.... I often use the reams of 500 sheets Tesco Value...
But if I am getting paid for a card (a commission) I have a stock of Conqueror paper, this is lovely and much thicker and gives a luxurious feel....
