Thursday again

Beautiful morning here today. Enjoyed my craft group yesterday, will put the card on here later which I made at the group. They want me to show them how I make a spring card next week I'm not a good teacher so will have to practice. wonder if Martin wants to learn how to make a card

Lovely morning here as well!! Came back from Nursery... called in at my mums, came home fed the rabbit, come here on the puter... and another 15 minutes and I have to go again!!! Still I am off tomorrow

I have just sat designing a For Sale postcard for my daughter, she wrote the words I was just adding a photo etc. and now she has phoned to say that someone has just phoned her who had seen the car parked in her road as she put a notice in the window. Just waiting now to see if I have to put the postcards in the newsagents

Morning ladies. I've just planted the tubs up for winter but still got loads of plants left over for garden. Ironing this afternoon Yuck!! Roy usually does it for me but since his leg has been bad I don't like to give it to him as he's supposed to elevate it as much as possible. Also got two pairs of his new trousers to shorten- which means clearing craft stuff of dining room table to put sewing machine on it. Wonder if I could manage to do them on the coffee table? Hmmmm

I really hate altering trousers Sue, good luck. My mum used to do all our alterations and all the neighbours too but since her stroke she can't use her sewing machine She made all our wedding dresses and bridesmaids dresses and a lady who did fancy dress events for charity got her making some hilarious outfits

I hate altering things too. I'd much rather make something from scratch - made my own wedding dress - a very long time ago. Trouble is M&S don't do any shorter leg lengths and Roy has shrunk - so have I - in the last couple of years, so trousers are always too long for him now. I see a lifetime ahead of shortening trousers

That card is lovely Jacky, K cards are something I would love to make, my first attempt was a shambles and I haven't tried since he he. Mind you I did try the one with 3 slots the first time ... can't try one slot to make life easy for myself he he. I didn't have a template either so was winging it he he

I had never made one before Jen but it was a bit of a fiddle. Did you make yours with 2 pieces of card. I have just been messing around and have found it easier to make it with 1 piece as it's an A6 size. Scored the A4 card in lengthways, then widthways. Then scored the bottom half on the A5 gate mark on either side of the middle score, if that makes sense. It would just mean making an aperture in the front before sticking it together I will have to have a proper go now

Yes I made it with 2 cards and it was A5 size. I'll have to have a go at your one card version when I have full use of my right arm

had a bit of shock for a moment.... thought you was putting your daughter up for sale!!!

No couldn't get rid of her now. She has left home and I don't think I would get much for her. She has already had 2 enquiries about the car though
