Grey windy and wet here! Have now moved all craft stuff upstairs to craft room/office. Actually it's such a small bedroom that it's not much use as one. Now it's all in one place I've frightened myself with how much stuff I've acquired in less than 2 years! Still got to put some of it away and clear desk off where I've stacked it but I've reclaimed my dining area so it looks reasonable again lol! (or will do when I've dusted, polished and hoovered! Morning ladies Smile Well done Sue on getting that sorted, think of the fun you'll have unpacking it and storing it away. Whenever I clear up its like Christmas all over again as I rediscover bits of paper I had forgotten about he he Smile

Its wet, cold and miserable in Cardiff today, but that's perfect for finishing off 2 birthday cards for my youngest granddaughter Smile I'll post them once I've finished them. Let's just say it could be a while before I use purple/lilac/shiny/fairy again he he Smile

Hope you are all well and tucked up nice and warm on this miserable day.

Hugs

Afternoon Ladies,

I can't believe how cold it is, I never usually feel the cold and I have even put the fire on today, I have just finished my November card swop, I thought I would get it done early as the one I done for October never got to Robin, so I thought best not leave it till late November when all the Chrimble cards will be going in the post.

Lace( i know it should have the little thing above the E but I don't know where to find it on the keyboard) was the first thing I done when I started making cards about 7 years ago and I still really enjoy doing it, it can look stunning when done.

I am still not sure if I'm going to the NEC at the weekend, I really want to go but I know I'll spend a lot of money that I really could do without spending, but I also know if I don't go I will be really miserable, oh well I have a week to decide.

Well stay warm and have a good day what ever your doing, Jenny did you get my PM saying thank you?

xx

Afternoon all, apologies for not saying good morning this morning, just had a quick look then off to the Drs. as my back is still playing up Very Happy Of course, it was ok this morning Mad Got there early, couldnt get into the car park so managed to find a place on the road limited to an hour - then she was running 25mins late Shocked Luckily it was pouring so the traffic wardens didnt appear. I think I may have been back just in time Laughing Been carrying on with the parchment card, doing the edging is taking an eternity, should have started it earlier Neutral Hope everyone is ok and not flooded out or blown away Very Happy

Only 2 years? Imagine what my room looks like after 12 years!

Here are today's class efforts - we were decoupaging using rubber stamped images
Someone picked up my card by mistake so card one is not the one I made but similar.

I had a good laugh about the amount of craft goodies everyone had acquired Laughing
Alan says if we fall on hard times we could make a fortune on Ebay selling my craft things affraid affraid
Thing is he is so right!

Whilst we are on that subject.........
I have set up an ebay account, our loft is full to bursting and we fear for the bedroom ceilings, can anyone help me here please?
It says you can verify your paypal/ebay account by linking it to your bank account
Not a problem as I have a paypal account but then it says something about 2 direct debits being taken off scratch
I am confused scratch scratch
Can someone please explain and any info on setting up and running an Ebay account would be more than helpful............though NOT for my preciouscrafting goodies affraid
I will leave the selling of them to Anne Very Happy

Sorry Sadie, don't understand the direct debits. When I buy off ebay and use Paypal they take it out of my account by direct debit and my card is down as backup. I will ask Sally as she does a lot of buying and selling Laughing Will let you know if she knows anything Very Happy

I cant believe how new everyone seems to be at crafting. I have been doing it for about 17 years at least - that is making cards etc. Knitting I started much earlier. I knitted myself a jumper when I was 5. I went with my older sister to the shop and got a pattern and 1 oz. of wool (on a skein) and took it home having asked the lady in the shop to keep enough of the wool for me to get 1oz every week. My mum was so impressed at the speed I knitted up the first skein, she went and got the rest for me. She related that story to everyone. I spent 9months in hospital when I was 8, not allowed out of bed, so knitting clothes for my doll kept me sane. Laughing

One blonde and one zebra (me)
At the moment I am mainly brunnette with a big strip of grey roots that will simply not go away no matter what colour I use Rolling Eyes
I want to go lighter as I feel the brown is far too harsh for my very Celtic features but the hair defies anything we throw at it
Must get a home-visiting hairdresser!
Either that or a bottle of bleach

Only kidding about the bleach folks Laughing Laughing Laughing

That's a lovely recollection of your childhood Jacky Smile Its great to have fond memories.

I've been knitting, crochet, sewing etc since I was a child but then gave everything up about 15 years ago, just to start back with card making a year last July, the last week of the month to be exact he he. I still sew and such now which is why I guess I love making trapeze cards and the like Smile For me now the speed with which a project comes together is brilliant, rather than wait a month or so its ready in a week or sometimes less Smile I also find that card making is far more sociable a craft than the others, they tend to be solitary pursuits.

I've started going to card class/demos now on a Wednesday morning and I'm loving it. It also gives me some form of structure to my week which helps me cope with my various ailments he he.

Scotty have you tried those die-away bleaches ? They remove all died colour so that you can start again. In the past I've had to use them to remove the red dye from my hair. I've gone back to my natural colour now, as the photo shows, as I'm fed up of getting poor Pete to dye it monthly for me. If you are going to try those removals leave it about 3 days before applying the new dye colour, to allow your hair to recover slightly.
