I wouldnt eat one of those even if I
was starving to death, and they wouldnt
get me anywhere near spiders, so I
would be rubbish in the jungle, I would
be screaming all day, and if I saw a taranula
I would probably pass out

Oh Jayne you wouldn't last 2 seconds in this house
Alan, big kid, got a remote control tarantula for his birthday

I watched it the first year then got bored with it. It's a bit sadistic. When Sally did a conservation project in Indonesia while at Uni they did a jungle course on survival and she did eat ants. She said they tasted like lemon drops I couldn't believe she did it as she is so caring about animals and insects. She would never kill a fly or spider in the house. She picks spiders up to carry them out She was out there stood in water up to her waist holding a net out to catch bats in the dark to measure and weigh them She is off on Friday to South Africa where they are spending time in the National Park hoping to see some animals

WOW!
THAT sounds BRILLIANT!
What is she studying Jacky?
I would have loved a course like that when I was fit
Instead I opted for teaching and all I got was a week in the Cairngorms!
Though I must admit I LOVED it

Indonesia was about 6 years ago, she was doing Biology and it was in her first year at Uni. She did a lot of selling to raise the money to go, putting leaflets around the neighbourhood asking for a small piece of bricabrac to sell at a car boot. She had loads of things given her. She was on antibiotics all the first year of Uni as she kept getting chest infections as her immune system was still not right. We were worried to death but couldnt stop her going, the dr. gave her antibiotics to take with her and she didnt need them. She didnt take any for about a year after, it seemed to have sorted her out. South Africa is a holiday with her boyfriend. She is staying with his grandfather for the first couple of days, going to the National Park for a few days then down to Cape Town for a week.

Biology was my favourite subject at school
That and English were the two subjects I excelled in
You wouldn't think it now though
You must have been worried sick Jacky
Funny you should say about going abroad sorting her out
Stuart, my younger son, was a very fussy eater (unlike the rest of the family) and hated anyone touching his plate or food
Then he went to India, gap year Achitectural expidition, right out into the wilds and came back eating anything that was put in front of him
I was astonished to see a photo of him eating from a communal rice bowl
OOH Africa.........WOW!
I hope you are going to let us see any photos
Which reminds me I haven't updated the rest of Stuart and Laura's photos in my PB

same hear and also warmed to previous contestants like Biggins and David Guest.
My family in Oz were hooked on it (a few months behind the UK) and we started watching it then.
Interesting line up - may watch some bits but not every broadcast!

I would encourage Jimmy to chew it
I think that with programmes like this just shows that celebs can
be human or at least some of them

Not my cup of tea at all. Haven't seen any of the previous ones and won't be watching this one either I'm afraid.
Re: Any "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me out of here" fans???
It could be a REALITY SHOW thread then we can include Strictly, X Factor and Dancing onIce when it comes back! (As long as it doesn't include Big Brother I shall be happy

Can't stand that programme either Jane. My mum complains how terrible it is and says she never watches it but she is always commenting about it when it's on and she knows all there names even when it's not the celebrity one Still it keeps her out of mischief
Re: Any "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me out of here" fans???
I don't normally watch them but read the daily updates on their website so that I can join in conversations about them he he
