Have enjoyed watching the Australian Open tennis and got really excited tonight as they were showing the Tour Down Under cycling from Adelaide on Sky Sports2. Recognised lots of the places - Barrossa, Adelaide Hills and Victor Harbor and todays race started from the Burnside shopping centre which we love to visit. cheers cheers cheers

Temperatures are averaging 28 and set to rise next week when they expect a heatwave -hope it lasts for us.
In 2 weeks we shall be nearly there, on the last leg of the journey down from Singapore. sunny sunny sunny

Taking some craft stuff with me and plan to go 2 a show and have booked 3 classes too. bounce bounce bounce

You lucky thing. I would love to go back to Australia. I lived out there when I was in my 20's with my Great Aunt in Tee Tree Valley. I visited Barossa, Handorf, Gumeracha (the big rocking horse), Glenelg (is the oldest tree still alive). I was lucky enough to see the Grand Prix in Adelaide too (that was amazing).

I hope you have a great time Smile

I've not heard of the Rocking Horse - is it a hill Question I was in my 20s when I lived out there too but that would be 20 years before you Frances. Laughing

That's the tree and the rocking horse. I climbed to the top of the Rocking Horse I loved the view, I also have a photo of the signpost. Another place I remember visiting was Cudlee Creek Gorge Wildlife park where I held a Koala and Marialta falls. Everyone that sees the colour of the sky over the waterfalls reckons it was a big poster I had taken photo of because they don't believe the sky can be such a deep blue.

Towards the end of my stay out there my parents came out for a month and we toured Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast, Cairns, Alice Springs and Ayres Rock, I have some lovely photos somewhere of a double rainbow over Ayres Rock.

We usually go to Cleland or preferably the wildlife park at Victor Harbor -my family are off there later today (Monday in Oz) to celebrate Australia Day.

Lots of Aussie pix in my photobucket if you are feeling homesick.
This Koala spends some time in a gum tree in front of my daughter's house

Yep, less than 192 hours till we leave for the airport! Really must make a start on that packing -so many presents to wrap first there won't be much room for clothes! Still, with temperatures in the high 30s at the moment, we won't need many!

I'm so laid back I keep falling over! Not like me at all.Not long now 5 Just getting into relaxed mode ready for all that lovely sunshine.

In between the busy spells I suddenly realise its getting closer but no panics yet. Passports, Visas and tickets all OK. Currency in the bumbag just the packing to do. There a pile on the spare bed so I'm getting there.

Must plan my 'to do' list for the next few days Not long now 1and also the itinerary for flight times, planned trips and craft classes at Charlotte's Web in Adelaide. I might be a messy worker and my craft room's usually a tip but I can be very organised if I have to.

Will be at Heathrow in 190 hours! bounce bounce bounce

Even worse, I started packing!

Done a trial pack with the walking boots and lots of pressies for the girls and it still only weighs 16 kilos -well inside the limit of 20. Clive's should be lighter than mine so no probs when I mix all the stuff up between the two cases.

Lost my case in Crete for 3 days on a 1 week holiday -was not amused to live in the same travelling outfit, no light clothes for day or evening and no swimming costume! Won't ever make the mistake of separate packing again!

PS did I tell you - only 180 hours to go
