Sunday

Post  Marion on Sun Jun 10, 2012 11:24 am

Good morning.

Its lovely and sunny here at the moment, don't know how long it will last though.

I am going to Deborah's for dinner today, 12,30pm, so I had better get in the shower and get myself dressed as I have a few jobs to do before I go.

Karen, sorry about this, but I shan't be coming on here any more. You and I catch up elsewhere and it seems silly to just keep writing to each other on here.
I am sorry to go, as it used to be such a lovely forum, but it seems everyone has deserted us now.

Marion, have you got a Facebook account, if not register yourself on FB and search for me and add me as a friend. I will then add you to the Crafty Cow page. Sorry I have been absent but can't seem to get on here when using my phone. Don't like going upstairs to my computer when its stormy weather.

Deserting ship?

Post  poppytree on Mon Jun 18, 2012 6:31 am

I'm sorry to hear so many people are no longer using the forum. It was a great place for making friends, sharing ideas and news and had good links to our favourite crafty places. Mostly now it seems to be about the weather and 'what we are doing today' - I don't mean to criticise but its not the most exciting place to be. I slowed down posting as it wasn't fair to keep telling people about how good it is here in australia etc.

The one thing I really miss is the regular picture posts in the gallery. That section has been more or less inactive for over 6 months - you must be making something out there! The ATC, birthday and card swaps also ran out of steam. The Crafty Cow shop was the main reason we all came together and now that is no longer, we have less in common except our love of crafting. We also had the weekly 'broadcasts' which gave so much inspiration.

I set up a group on facebook so others could keep in touch more easily and it seemed popular (and easy to post) I'm sorry if this has meant the forum has become less popular.

Look at the other sections and you'll see how times have changed - no more fun and games, recipes, likes and dislikes, links to good craft sites etc......

I agree Jane - it is sad that people aren't using the forum anymore- Facebook isn't the same and although I use it - I don't post things on it as I would on the forum - in fact I rarely post and only occasionally comment.

I think Facebook has taken over from forums, everyone seems to be on it now.

Personally I dont like Facebook, for the same reasons as Sue, I rarely post on there as I don't want the world and and their dogs seeing what I am writing.

The Crafty Cows group on facebook is 'private' - only members can see who posts. A few regular members hadn't always got access to a computer and posted to it from their phones as it was easier.

You don't have to be a member of this forum to be able to read the posts and nearly every time I came on there would show 1 member 2 guests or however many were on here. Therefore FB on the CC page is more private.
