Morning all, bright & sunny here this morning Got to go and get a new battery for the car, have put mosskiller on the lawn first thing this morning and off shopping at Lidls today as they have hiking things in, I was looking for some trousers, so will keep my fingers crossed

Enjoy your shopping Janet, and your mopping Karen (just remembered I mopped the floor in the bedroom this morning after Martin had hoovered the dust from under the bed) Can't believe I am getting so domesticated in my old age. I was watching the lady across the road from us at 8.00 when I was opening the curtains she was outside washing down her front door and garage door - she had probably already done the window. She is 84 and does this several times a week She never stops cleaning and her husband is just the same. Lovely couple but could never invite them in to my house

Well all the bags are packed and I'm just going to pack the car up then I'm off to my parents for the holidays. My sister has come over from the states for a week so the kids will love that as they haven't seen her for 18 months.

I look forward to meeting Jacky next Wednesday at the Crafty Cow.

Good morning ladies.....Good luck Jan in your new job . 1st days are awful ah, Iam sure your soon feel like you have worked there for all of your life.Hope everyone had a great weekend, I worked for a couple hours on sunday morning but as it was teaching scrap booking did'nt feel like work ! I get great ideas for other people come to my stuff creative juices go on strike! Went to see Lionel Ritchie at the 02 last night he was BRILLIENT a Birthday treat for my husband and he had to take me .My daughter gone away with youth club so its party party .Hope you all have a good day and get to enjoy a bit of the beautiful sunshine. Thank you ladies, you have all been really supportive and I do appreciate, no need to worry though I have actually spent the morning working my own way round their internal computer system, easy peasy and really apart from drink tea and have a natter not much else, I did leave far to early this morning though and ended up waiting for my connecting bus for nearly 30 minutes but that's a lesson learnt
Karen you really shouldn't be mopping it is as Janet said really bad for you and housework is very overrated, you clean the dust comes back and you clean again, endless cycle and why not just save yourself the bother and Jacky why you getting all domesticated ??? expecting a royal visit or something

Now this mopping lark! its all done and looking nice as well. I have also done some ironing - must be getting like Jacky all domesticated - thats it now for awhile!! We are looking after a couple of Ridgebacks over Easter... so there is no point doing it again till they have gone back home - they have ginormous paws

Thanks Karen I love ridgies they gorgeous, I want a Dogue de Bordeaux but Mike said no too much slobber Got a Shar Pei and an Affenpinscher at the moment and they are both knocking on in years, keep saying no more dogs after they have gone but just cant imagine my house without a dog in it

just had to google that breed... not heard of them before - WOW !!! they are big! Reckon thats what a lady down the road from me has, looks a ginormous giant, but so gentle. Bad enough cleaning up after the 2 we look after... dread to think what they do!!!

My sister in law has a massive Bull Mastiff (15 stone) and is looking to get a Dog De Bordeaux at the moment... I have loved the breed ever since I watched Turner & Hooch!!!

I love big dogs grew up with 2 Ridgebacks , both huge an soppie as hell ! also love staffs but promise I am not a chav !! Had Jock for years so sad when he died , had to get rid of my 'girl doggy' staffie just too naughty for words ate the kitchen ........honest, funny how some dogs train really well an other Don't. Mick won't let us have a dog , he loves the cat though ..... lexie

We had one come through the quarantine kennels I used to work at when I left school and was hooked and then after seeing T&H it fired me up again but never have and probably never will, well not unless I live in a plastic house that I can jet wash I really wouldn't mind him knocking me over Karen, would he was mine then and would be well happy Know what you mean about the 'other end' stuff Karen, Mike's Dad says when he takes my Shar Pei out he should take a bucket with him
I had my Melvin (named after the Toxic Avenger, if any of you know the film )and although I have loved all my dogs he will always hold a special place in my heart, never had and never will have another dog like him
I like cats but they can be a bit fickle, well a lot fickle, they own you you dont own them

Glad you enjoyed your day Jan We have been out most of the day, started off going to post the swap cards and stamped images, on to Lidls and got my walking trousers - £9.99 - they can also turn into shorts but probably wont do that. They also had some hiking shoes there for £9.99 so got some of those too as they will be a bit lighter in the summer and a rechargeable mini hedgetrimmer/edge clipper for £24. My sister bought one last year and it is really handy. Martin also got a pair of the mens version of the trousers. We then carried on to Costco as they were cheaper to get the battery for the car from and we had to get dog food for Molly. Ended up an expensive afternoon as they had the combination microwave/convection oven I have been looking at and a garden shredder which I have also been wanting - we usually borrow Ians. Martin said it would have been cheaper for him to have gone to Halfords round the corner

I have offered to pay for the shredder though

I have always had dogs and after I married and left home went without for about 6months and then Martin had to go away so I said I wanted a dog We had a Sheltie and she was lovely - when we went to Australia Mum looked after her for 3 years but when we got back she jumped in the car and wasn't coming out again We had Ian by then and she was really good with him When she died we got a rescue dog which was a crossbreed and we was the best dog we ever had. But I wouldn't part with Molly either
