Good morning Thursday
Good morning ladies
Had a fair amount of rain overnight and still doesnt look so good out there this morning but the sun has popped its head out a few times
Joke centre today and then got some paperwork to sort and get a few other things sorted out and then the day is mine
Had a bit of a shock yesterday morning, thought Mike's Dad was done in the bathroom and I grabbed my towels and opened the door to see him stood there in the shower still, a quick sorry and shut the door oops, think I was a lot more embarassed than him but we laughed about it later
Hope everyone has a great day whatever your doing and be good and stay safe xXx

Morning Jan, Di and all whofollow how embarassing Jan. Nothing planned for today got washer on has its lovely out at the moment. Hugs to the poorlies and enjoy if you are off out.
Re: Good morning Thursday
Morning!
Hope everyone is well.... lovely start to the day here.
Had a bit of trouble on the street early hours of this morning - the couple across the road were arguing (not the first time) and it got a bit nasty, with a lot of pushing and shoving. Eventually the police came out, followed by an ambulance - but that went almost straightaway. I heard the police car go about 2.30 this morning. Didnt sleep too well after that.
Washing machine finished, so better go and peg that out.
Amy is off to school shortly to get her results, hoping she has done well... but come what may I know she has done her best.
Have a lovely day xx

Re: Good morning Thursday
Good morning Jan, Di, Andrea, Karen and all who follow. Oh Jan you have made my life so much brighter this morning. I am still sat here giggling to myself - I can just imagine your face Hope you get through your chores quickly so you have time to yourself Martin is just off to the airfield to fly his plane - another new (second-hand) one he got which is better to learn on apparently
How awful Karen to be woken like that. I remember, as a child, we had a neighbour who was an alchoholic - most of the time he was very amiable but occasionally he got violent and took it out on his mother, she was tiny and he was enormous. We would watch from our bedroom window. I don't think she ever got injured by him but there was a lot of noise and shouting and it was quite scarey. In those days we didnt have telephones in the house either but the police always seemed to appear
Hope your day is a good one whatever you are doing Hugs to all the poorlies

Re: Good morning Thursday
Good afternoon all. Well have got everything back in utility and kitchen and had a good hoover round everywhere else so just about back to normal now. Can't use washing machine though as the tap decided to leak when I turned it back on. Michael's friend who is a plumber is coming round tonight to have a look. Probably will have to have new taps as these are out of the Ark!
Re: Good morning Thursday
Isn't that just typical Sue, leaking tap just after having a new floor fitted Hope Michaels friend can fix it for you quickly so that you can finally be finished
Re: Good morning Thursday
It was fine until I had to turn it off to move the machine out! Soon as I turn it on now it drips out at the top!
Re: Good morning Thursday
Good afternoon ladies, I do hope all the poorlies are feeling better, weather here is not to bad, week is flying again and the children will home again from camping in a few days, so will be handing the dogs cats horses snails and fish all back to them Have a grand day all.
Re: Good morning Thursday
Bet you will be glad of the rest Janet I have just noticed there is a Moovision on tomorrow morning
Re: Good morning Thursday
I know I was embarassed Jccky but more annoyed that he was still messing around in the bathroom and it was 7.20 didnt leave me much time to have a shower and get ready for work
Moovision is Friday 28th not 25th if I am correct and I havent missed a few days somewhere

Re: Good morning Thursday
How annoying when he knows you have to get ready for work Martin's dad was like that, no thought I have sent an email to Anne to tell her she has put the wrong date on, but probably going there this afternoon anyway
Re: Good morning Thursday
Just had a terrible shock put a bag of rubbish into dustbin...... it's crawling with maggots , and I know that Mick jetwashed it out on sunday afternoon... honestly I was nearly sick , when I tell Mick he'll have one about it , he is defnetly OCD with cleaning and tidying up , if we row is about how I don't do it how he likes it !!!!! so he does mos of it now ....maggots yuck! lexie
Re: Good morning Thursday
Ive just looked on the website and it is tomorrow 28th August at 11 o clock yippee i can watch it Maggots Lexie yuk
I'm going to miss it .....again
Enjoy Moovision tomorrow everyone - I'll probably be stuck in a traffic jam on the M6 by then. May have to travel across country through Dudley/Wolverhampton to avoid the worst of the jams. Plan to set off early in the morning. Its Sophie (my granddaughter's) birthday so I may stay up late tonight to speak to her before she goes to school (they're 8 1/2 hours ahead of us in Adelaide.)
Filled the fridge and freezer and done loads of cooking so Clive is well catered for. Just off to pack my case and finish off the ironing. I've also finished my 4 week stint in the church office and handed in my timesheet. Should be a nice cheque waiting for me when I get back as I've done 72 hours! Looking forward to this little holiday and lots of 'girlie' time with plenty of chat, chocolates and glasses of wine.
Have a great weekend all and hugs to the poorlies

Re: Good morning Thursday
Jane where are you heading for as you are going through dudley/wolverhampton i live just down the road form dudley. have a good time where ever you are going to.
Re: Good morning Thursday
Was going to use the 'rat run' towards Telford (B4176) - my friend lives in Shifnal!
Re: Good morning Thursday
jane we call it the rabbit run, because if you go down late at night or early mornings its full of rabbits hence the name.
Re: Good morning Thursday
We're not so pastoral (or polite) here in this part of the South East! The shortcuts, particularly around London commuter areas are often called rat runs probably as they are more common than rabbits in built up areas
Re: Good morning Thursday
Hope you have a great time with your pal and that your journey was safe , and safe on the way home , enjoy ! lexie
Re: Good morning Thursday
Just got back. Had a brilliant time (unlike the weather which was grey, cold and raining on and off) at least its sunny here and all happening on the Downs - raceday!
Amazing journey each way - hardly any traffic and did it easily in 3 hours with a coffee stop (180 miles) Scarey leaving on Thursday though. I cut through Langly Vale to get to the M25 only to have a tree branch fall down in front of my car. I was following (at a safe distance) a loaded skip lorry and it was his fault. Another branch was vertical in the road wedged in the trees and it took three of us to shift it and clear the way. I got round the corner to find the roads were shut for repair/gaswork and there had been no warning till I was right next to the turning. had to turn round and go a different way ending up doing more miles than the usual route and it took me nearly half an hour instead of 20 minutes! At least after that it was all plain sailing.
Got through loads of chocolate and Chardonnay and looking foward to a good night's sleep tonight. Other half must be at foottie so I've the house to myself and time to catch up with all the posts.
