Stamping on a curved image

Jacky suggested I post this, for those who don't see Moovision. Anne demonstrated stamping with an acrylic stamp on a round image (I think it was a Christmas pudding) and had some difficulty getting the stamp to fit the curve on the image. She was putting the stamp on the block by estimating the curve needed, then turning the block over and trying it over the image, if it didn't fit she altered it and tried again, and so on. I thought you could avoid the 'trial and error' system by placing the block over the image, then look through the block to position the stamp exactly where it is needed.
