Hello from Suffolk
Hi from Pauline
I joined just before Christmas but only just got around to posting my first post.
I've been a card maker for about 15 years and can't imagine my life without it. I also like a variety of other crafts; I do box making (gift boxes mainly) cross stitch and jewellry making. I also like to knit, mostly for 'causes', my latest project is jumpers for chickens.
I like going to various craft shows, mainly Ally Pally, NEC and Farnborough ones and have a few crafty friends. Hate to think what I've spent over the years I've been card making but it did at least get me out of the habit of biting my nails.

Re: Hello from Suffolk
Hi Pauline and welcome to this lovely, friendly and slightly mad forum. I've never seen a chicken in a jumper, sounds interesting. Think they'll need them if this freezing weather continues!
Do post some pictures in the gallery section. I'm sure we'd all love to see some examples of your work.
What's the weather like in your part of the country? not like this, I'll bet https://s229.photobucket.com/albums/ee102/jane-poppytree/Holidays%20UK/Suffolk%20-%20Oct09/

Hi Pauline and welcome to the Crafty Moo!
I have heard of the jumpers for chickens thing.... isn't it when they have lost their feathers? Thy have them knitted and put on to keep them warm whilst their feathers grow back.

Awww how sweet. Do you have to knit sleeves for their wings or are they sleeveless
Re: Hello from Suffolk
Hi,
Thank you all so much for your warm welcome. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better.
Yes, the chicken jackets are to keep the rescued battery farm chickens warm whilst their feathers grow back. The interest in them has prompted me to open up a Photobucket account and post a picture to it so you can see it. Hope you like the model!! I've also posted a card in there but will be adding to it now that I'm up and running. I've been meaning to do something with Photobucket for ages so am really glad I joined and have now got it going.
Had heavy snow here today again, I couldn't get into work so had to work from home instead.

Re: Hello from Suffolk
That is great Pauline, thanks for showing us Really like your card too and like the idea that you have written how it was made - thanks. You might like to post a picture of your card in the Gallery section of the forum which is for members only.
Re: Hello from Suffolk
Ahh that is so cute I have no idea how you get them to let you put them on, Tash wouldn't even wear kitted socks to keep her feet warm in the snow he he. I think they lasted about 4 secs before she had them off again he he.
Great card too
