Weepy Wednsday

THe girls have just left for school with a few tears and lots of hugs. Bags all packed and sitting in the hall and we leave for the airport in a couple of hours. It's a cool 30 now and a few fluffy clouds in the sky.

Hate this part but at least we've a few more days of holiday to enjoy before we have to return to the cold and gloom. I'll be back on line hopefully on Sunday (provided the old PC powers up again OK)

We've had a great time and are determined to start making visa/immigration enquiries when we return. The sunshine and relaxed way of life has done us both a power of good and Karen hinted she would love us to have a bigger part in the girl's lives as they grow up. As baby sitting charges are extortionate we would come in handy too and after all, we have lots of time and love to give.

Didn't manage a class yesterday as the tutor had some very bad news and had to cancel. I spent some time in the shop and will keep in touch with them all before our next trip out. The time has gone so quickly and we didn't manage to do half the things we planned but it has been 'a blast' Oh well - there's always next year!

She's grown up a lot since then Jacky. Learnt to snorkle in 2 days (got the mask etc about a month ago) and now dives to the bottom of the deep end to retrieve diving sticks! (hates wearing a cossie so can't post many pictures of her in the buff)


We brought them a 'Bop-it' but forgot the instructions - suitable for 8+ Sophie (6) took 5 days to master basic level with 100 strikes in a row and is now onto the next step - she should make 'master' level in a couple of weeks at this rate

On our way in less than an hour, just time for a coffee and a couple of Anzac biscuits!



Our last view of the local beach yesterday (Brighton) - 40C and calm as a mill pond.

Think I better go get some food shopping as I have been sending Martin for basics and he only buys what I say so the cupboards are getting bare again Hope all is well with the world today. Hope you got your shopping in Jacky as they say the snow is going to be bad AGAIN .... so get your supplies in we have been shopping as we need for afew days now ! Still only got a load of party food in the freezer ( left over from Christmas ) so I'll give anything thats left to Shiela same a s the fridge , she will have a strange mixture but Iam sure will use it !
Had my nails done , had to have them off when I had my op , and I;ve missed them but it was a good excuse to let my own toughen up but as they don't grow nicely back on went the false ones .
As my cough has been so bad went to the Doctor this morning as I exspected put me on a course of steroids again but at least that works ! so my cough should not be too bad on the flight , nothing worse than someone coughing for 12 hours ! xx

Got my shopping in Lexie, thank you. Hope it's not too bad as we are supposed to be picking up an Awning for our Bongo - Felbridge, on Saturday. Won it on ebay with 7 seconds left, apparently Martin was watching the bidding at work and thought I had forgotten. No faith. Hope to call into the Barn too while I am there We have had snow on and off all day today but hasnt settled but the wind was really bitter. Ordered a ribbon rack the other week too, and forgotten all about it. Had an email today to say it has been dispatched Can get my ribbons sorted at last. Have tried all the ideas but still get them jumbled up so thought I would get a proper one I will be able to buy more ribbons when I go to Farnborough then

Jacky call in on saturday , we have to take Baxter to the cattery before 12 and then we are free so please pop in for a cuppa , it would be lovely to see you again . I mean it if you don't I'll be very upset aas you will have to pass the top of my road to get to the Barn ! xx
