September Challenge
The theme this month is......
but
" Anything goes..."
but
only one card per person,
and you must give full details of how you've made it,
what you've used,
type of paper,
make of stamp,
type of inks etc.

Re: September Challenge
And here's mine.
I picked 3 blue hardy geraniums from the garden laid them on Cuttlebug A plate, covered them with some cream watercolour paper, then ran them through using C and B plate. Make sure you have kitchen towel to hand to clean plates as can be a bit messy. Leave to dry then scrape any surplus bits of flowers of paper! Add some stamping. I used an Elusive Images swirl stamp with Brilliance Galaxy Gold ink. Added a sentiment- also Elusive Images. Sponged around the edges of the card with cut and dry foam and Old Paper distress ink pad. Then mounted it onto lilac card and a gold card blank.
Made after seeing this card demo'd on C & C.

Re: September Challenge
Lovely card Sue.
I've tried the smooched flower technique - I saw it on C&C too he he, but I wasn't happy with my versions. They are far too messy where the sap all squidges out the end, how do you get yours to look so neat? Did you have the stalks go down to the bottom of the paper or did you use just the heads of the flowers?

Here is mine ladies
This is made of a pastal pink satin card stock, with a pattened vellum across one side joined to the card with two flower brads, with a linked chain of peel off, on top is a decoupage flower with the words with love above and gold glitter to match.

I used watercolour paper and I did use the stalks and leaves but trimmed it to size afterwards. Think the results will be very variable depending on the flowers used.
Re: September Challenge
Here's my SWING/SPINNER CARD (my make and take from this morning)
Products used:
1. Black pre-scored swing card (pack of 5 - from Buzzcraft)
2. Kaisercraft Birdcage paper to cover side panels
3. Woodware stamped image on acetate and mounted on toning paper - use glue behind bird and top of cage so it doesn't show.
4. Bird stamped onto scraps of matching paper, cut out and 'paper-pieced'
5. stamp greeting from same stamp set and mount on reverse scrap of paper cut out of RH panel. Place on bottom right side of card
6. Add turquoise 'nail head' to top of cage

Re: September Challenge
Here's mine......
Used a4 sheet of 240gsm cream linen embossed card and folded then cut down into a 6" square..... rounded the corners with my punch
Used my Popcorn Bear Romance CD and chose one of their Decoupage sheets.... bit too much decoupage on the sheet so chose what bits I wanted!
Used a pink ribbon with red fake stitching and tied in a know coz I am crap at freehand bows!
Placed the decoupage (made up) where I wanted it and then placed a nestie label with a peel off pen coloured peel off and then added some heart gems x 3
Also put in an insert printed off in the same design .

Re: September Challenge
Right girls finally got mine done , hope you like it... I know many people don't like glitter but for certaain things I like it, its my friends 25th wedding anniversary next week so this is for then !
I used a brass dreamweaver stencil
Silver embossing paste
Silver fine glitter
Velvet paper
Silver miri card.
White card
Ribbon
Sentiments ( Craftwork cards )
Chalk ink pad .
Fix stencil onto velvet paper , I use low tack magitape
Using a spaula or similar ( I use a old fashioned knife )
spread embossing pase , not to thick , and remove stencil in one quick movement.
Shake on ultrafine glitter and allow to dry , I usually do a few at a time , and leave for a couple hours or overnight
is best really
Using foam pads or d/s fix to card.
Attach ribbon , use chalk ink pads to edge sentiment
.
using double sided tape layer velvet paper onto miri card
Re: September Challenge
Very pretty - you're right, glitter does have its uses (and I'm not generally a huge fan unless used in moderation) but I have to admit it looks stunning when added to wet paste.
