Holiday Pics Empty Re: Holiday Pics

It wasn't top of my list of places to visit - in fact the only reason I went was because I wanted to see the autumn colours and Roy has been on and on about taking me to New York so thought it would cover both. Unfortunately we were about a week too early for the colours but that is luck depending on the weather i suppose. I really liked Toronto and Canada although Niagara (the town) was a bit like Blackpool on steroids! The Falls were fantastic though - especially on the Maid of the Mist which takes you right into them! New England and Vermont were really nice but I found Boston disappointing. Might have been coloured by the fact that we were there in the afternoon and evening of a very long day and it was also pouring with rain! New York was good but have seen most of the sights crammed into 2 days by bus tour and cruise up the rivers and not sure that I would be desparate to go back. Thought it was quite expensive - clothes certainly weren't cheaper especially as the price on the label is not the price you pay as they add local tax on and you don't know how much it is until you get the bill! But I did enjoy it much more tan I thought I would.
