Catching up! Empty Catching up!

Post  topgran Mon Sep 29, 2008 12:59 pm

Just been catching up with all the weekend posts while I have a coffee! Took ages!

Went to Ally Pally on Saturday. It's the first time I've been to that show and I thought it was quite good Exclamation Must have been 'cos I certainly seemed to spend far too much Shocked I got some stamps, a small tote bag, glue, glitter etc Exclamation I wish now I'd bought a couple of other stamps I saw but thought I'd spent enough and knew I could get them later mail order. Wrong- they're sold out so am annoyed with myself. Mad Never mind they'll no doubt get more stock later.

Sunday went to garden centre to get an olive tree for my son's birthday, and did some food shopping.

Jayne - glad to see you're feeling better.

Karen - have you got your heating fixed yet?

Andrea - Love the boxes - what a clever idea!

Mikki - Sorry to hear you have been disappointed over the op but as others have said maybe it's for the best! Hope you enjoy your holiday.

Jane - fab ATC's. Maybe I should have a go at doing some as I've not got into them yet. They were doing a swap at Ally Pally Exclamation

Janet - very sensible keeping score, enjoying the sun and not running around.

I've just done the last bit of painting this morning and am off to put some plants in the garden and hopefully do the tubs as well while the weather is still sunny . Then I can go and have a play with all my new toys this afternoon! bounce bounce cheers

Catching up! Empty ATCs

Post  poppytree Mon Sep 29, 2008 7:06 pm

I took about 20 ATCs to Ally Pally last year and swapped them all Wink - that's what really got me hooked. Smile
I'm doing 3-4 monthly swaps now -Crafty Cow, 1 in the USA and 1-2 in AUSTRALIA. Rolling Eyes
My collection is really growing and I've made lots of new Cyber friends. bounce
I find they are a little quicker to make and cost less to send (most of my swaps are for series of 4 - 6)

Think I sall make a few more black and white ones now I'm on a roll! Very Happy

I'm sure they are wonderful - don't be so hard on yourself -we all have to start somewhere and they get better with practice! I'll be in Australia inFebruary so will probably miss Farnborough -shame
