What do you.....
What do you ladies use inside your Christmas cards? Do you use a stamp, rub on, peel off or print? Also if you make inserts what sort of paper do you use? I used a stamp last year but wasn't really happy with it so am looking for something different to use this year.
Re: What do you.....
I print my message on to A4 white copy paper twice on the right hand side, then cut in half and I have 2 quick greetings for standard 6 x 4 cards
Re: What do you.....
Morning Sue and Jane, I use A4 paper to, if I have couloured paper I try to match the insert, I also use a corner punch on them or a border punch just to make them look a little special. Janet
Re: What do you.....
I often use a corner punch or rounder and generally choose a colour ink that matches the card rather than black (I occasionally use pastel papers colours too)
Re: What do you.....
I have a cd that i bought from ebay, and it has a thousand verses on and i just print the same verse for those that i sell and then special ones for family I just print it onto white copy paper
Re: What do you.....
I use inserts and treat them just as I would other cards, but then I don't do large volumes of Christmas cards I only make ones to order and my own.
Re: What do you.....
I put inserts in all my cards - I have a verse writer programme but I also bought a cd of verses at Sandown which is in Word. I have copied a couple of those into my verse writer
Re: What do you.....
I do the same as Cally, I brought a Cd that has hundreds of verses on it and also card templates, so what you do is select the card template and cut and paste the verses into it then print, it's really easy to use and looks very professional.

Re: What do you.....
That sounds like the one I bought at Sandown Mikki - some lovely verses and humerous ones too
Re: What do you.....
This CD is very popular and I know why
I bought it too
I am sure the web address is on the CD
If you want I could PM you with it
I tend to use paper that matches the colour of card too
I have tried stamping to some degree of success but nothing to shout home about
I love using a wavy cut for my inserts but usually forget to do it

Re: What do you.....
I'd be interested in the CD Sadie if you could pm me the web address. I have got one that I bought when I first started early last year but have no idea where I've put it. I don't do slushy verses but occasionally want something other than happy birthday or merry christmas!
Re: What do you.....
If I have a nice Christmas verse, I will stamp it inside the card. If not, I go through the old stamping catalogs and look up some verses and then type them up and print them off the printer. I try to stamp the image sometimes inside the left side of the card. I also try to use the same color paper inside...or even a lighter color of that same color family inside the card.

Re: What do you.....
If I'm doing lots the same, I tend to print them using a pretty font and suitable verse. I sometimes gold emboss special ones
Re: What do you.....
I do a printed one for the main batch, but write on plain inserts for the family cards
