Wet and windy Tuesday
Good morning to you all,
What a wet and windy morning it is here in North London, it is also perfect card making weather
I hope every one is well this morning and that Jens mouth is a lot better today.
I still have loads of my voluntrree work to do to day, but I'm also going to make a beef caserole with dumplings, it's just the right weather today
I have been looking at some of the sites that people draw a card sketch and the others use the sketch to produce some wonderful cards and it is a real help if you need inspiration, I'v been printing the sketches and sticking them in a folder so that I can look back on them if I stuck for a layout idea.
My stomace is telling me it's time so I wish you all a great day.
xx

Morning ladies!!
Brrrr... its nice and sunny but chilly as well. Dropped off at school and nursery, so a bit of me time now!
Half term next week, so looking forward to not having to go up and down to school 3 times a day, havent got Ben, but as yet not sure if I have Jasmine (she only comes here in the school holidays, have told her mum that I will be having a couple of days off)
Going now to get my jobs done... see you later have a lovely day

Re: Wet and windy Tuesday
Morning ladies my mouth is feeling a lot better today thanks so much so that I'm thinking of a walk out to the village later on if the sun stays as it is now. Its a glorious sunny day here, crisp but sunny, he he so I'll have a scarf around my mouth just in case So whilst everyone else is having a last fling with their summer clothes I'll be looking demure with a scarf wrapped jauntily around my neck ... and over my mouth, hmm ok that isn't such a good look he he
Hope you all have a great day and get loads of crafting done as the weather is not so good where you are.
For those that like to play around I learnt something new from Glenda Waterworth of Graphicus fame. Using your Cuttlebug folder create your image, then lightly rub a watermark stamp over it and emboss in gold/silver or whatever your choice is. The result is a very rick background card/paper. Here's the one she showed on her sight http://artylicious.files.wordpress.com/2008/10/dsc_00032.jpg
It does produce some gorgeous results very easily photos don't do them justice
Another thing I found out yesterday, can't you tell I was bored he he. Foil yoghurt tops cuttlebugged with the Christmas tree folder look like lovely baubles
Have fun playing girls he he

What a great idea Jen, I haven't used my embossing powders for ages, I will definately be getting them out again. I love my cuttlebug Like the idea of the baubles too you are a genius at recycling
Re: Wet and windy Tuesday
Morning Mikki, Jackie, Karen, Jenny, and all, beautiful morning here, but it is a little chilly out there Jacky, so glad you are a little better today Jenny and love the bauble. Of to have the hair coloured soon, I just cant stand looking at that grey hair lady in the mirror, need a face lift, tummy tuck............. ah well I do hope you all have a good day. Love Janet xx
Re: Wet and windy Tuesday
Beautiful day here. Washing blowing and shopping done - just got to put it all away.
Lovely backgrounds Jen - I saw this done at Crafts U Love a few weeks ago too.
They recommend using Versafine as it gives a better coverage.
They also brushed mica powders on as an alternative to embossing.
Looked stunning on the darker cardstock. Might have a go later.

Having a short break from the h*******k. Finally got round to spring cleaning the lounge. Shampooed the rug and moved the furniture around. Cleared out a sackful of magazines and unwanted books and found homes for stuff dumped behind the sofa!
Off to my catering job in half an hour. Actually got a lot done for once and feeling quite pleased with myself. Hope the rest of you had a good day.

Hi ladies just a fleeting visit again today, Mike is off this week so we have been trying to make the most of it but the decorating is beckoning so will probably be doing that tomorrow, said we would wait for a bad day and so far really they have been good enough to go out lol
Was over in your neck of the woods today Janet, if I had seen your other post earlier could have popped in to see you today lol
Jayne is still offline but hopefully all being well will be back up and running tomorrow night
Take care all and hugz for those who need them

Re: Wet and windy Tuesday
What a busy bee you have been Jane
It was my day today for my acupuncture on my neck
I had to go to Heatherwood hospital today instead of the local centre in Bracknell
The ambulance drivers, there and back, both took the scenic routes so i had quite a jaunt today
Poor Jimmy was straight out into the garden the minute I got in
I must tell you all about his new toy!!
It is a pig and when you squeeze it there is a snorting/grunting sound
He LOVES it
It is so funny seeing him walking around grunting like a wee piggie
But it is even funnier when he throws it up in the air and it goes flying all over the place
Who says pigs can't fly?!
