I think i will call it a day

With the card swap has there seems to be quite a lot of cards not being sent or received, i feel really awfull when this happens and i know its not fair on the persons who dont send. There has been numerous occasions where a person has not received twice and i know i would be upset knowing youve spent hours to make a card and not get one back. So when the November one has been done that will be it unless someone else wants to take over I will gladly carry on with the birthday club. Ok rant over

Can fully understand Andrea and totally agree I would be a bit peeved if I spent time making someone a card and they didn't even acknowledge receipt of it or worse bother to even make one in return, after all that's why it's called a swap isn't it? It's a poor show when a minority spoils it for the majority
Have sent the birthday girls card already so just hoping now it gets there in time

So sorry you are not going to carry on Andrea but quite understand I have also sent the birthday card off

Like the others I'm sorry you will not be arranging the swap after November, but fully understand why. You have been messed about something chronic over the last month or two, and its the minority spoiling it for the rest of us.

Aww thanks ladies i would gladly carry on but there seems to be more and more cards not sent and we have a full month to do it, so thought id call it a day and just do the birthday club.

I would be more than happy to take over if noone else wants to do it as I know I enjoy the card swap like a few others here on the forum

I fully understand Andrea as I didn't get the September one which was really disapppointing as it was only the second one I'd done.

Have sent birthday card off yesterday so hope it gets there in time.

Cubbie it would be great if you took over as I really enjoy doing it.

Something I am presuming doesn't take long to do just hope those involved will continue to make a card for their partner afterall it's only one a month and I think even the busiest of people could find time to do that

Hello Everyone

I am bewildered (not unusual!) at what appears to have been happening, it seems that after voluntarily joining the card-swap group people have not swapped cards. What a pity, and so soon after it's inception, it wasn't compulsory so what was the point? I have received three lovely cardswaps and feel sorry that others have waited in vain and been disappointed.
I'd like to add my thanks to Andrea for her organization, and to 'Cubbie' for taking over now, I haven't participated in such a group before and I'm enjoying it, so I'm pleased it will continue.
It seems I sent off my card to 'Jimsdee' rather early, last week, but I liked the idea of a card of mine finding it's way to a home in Indiana! Christine
