Good morning all,

I have been making Chrimbo cards for the past two days as Alan gave me a long list of cards he wanted to send which used up all the ones I had made for us, so now I need at least 20 more.

I hope you are all coping with this cold weather, I have the fire on in the living room as the cats are cold even thought the heating is on.

I hope you all have a great weekend.

Warming hugs

It's been remarkably good here today. Looked a bit overcast first thing then the sun came out, and not too cold either Very Happy I have had a headache all day though. Trying to do cards but can't put my mind to it. Have finished one for Sally and halfway through Ians now. Already done Mum's - going to give her the parchment one I did for the monthly challenge Very Happy That's the main people sorted. I just have to sort out now who all the others are for and how many more I need to make Laughing Laughing

Had to take Roy to doctor's this morning for routine blood test then needed to shop so went to Morrisons at Elvetham Heath. There was no way I was trying to park in Fleet as when I drove past the carpark to pick him up the cars were queuing right down the road to get in. The Christmas panic shopping seems to have started early this year! This afternoon I have packed away all the Christmas crafting stuff (as I have made more than I need this year) and had a tidy up in work room. Got to do a couple of birthday cards and a new baby card in next few days.

With mobile phones Jacky I was with Orange for years and swapped over to O2 a few months back and the deals they do and offers and bolt-ons make my phone much cheaper to run now, that's if O2 has good reception in your area Smile I put £10 a month on mine and usually have money left at the end of the month but with Orange I could put that on a week Rolling Eyes

You get your O2 rewards as well, if you ring from your postcode area(usually home with your o2 phone) and put £10 a month on your phone you get 500 free minutes, mine at the moment is 1000 minutes a month for some reason, to landline and other O2 numbers, as my daughter and most friends are on O2 I am saving a fortune Laughing

oops you have to text a number to set it up but it's all free Smile I even got Mike's Mum to do it and she loves it Smile

I never need to use a mobile phone these days. pale I see sall my friends regularly and, as you can see, I make good use of the forum and emails. Razz £10 lasts me well over a year! Embarassed

Was hoping for a quiet evening but forgot I'm accompanying the Christmas choir practice Idea so won't get to bed before 11.00. Sleep Will probably be in the loft tomorrow getting the tree, lights and decorations down. santa
At least I've made all my swaps and cards for this month.

Martin very rarely uses his phone, it's pay as you go - the only reason he wants a new one is it keeps switching itself off. I think it's where the battery has got loose and so the connection isn't very good. Mine did the same earlier this year and I upgraded but it means I am stuck with Orange for another year - I pay about £23 a month, and rarely use all I'm paying for now. I used it more texting Sally when she was on her travels but now she's back don't use it as much. She is on O2 and so is Ian so really it would be a good idea if he changed too, hadn't really thought of that. I presume they do Pay as you Go too. Just checked and my contract is up in Feb so could also go to O2 if I get the phone unlocked Very Happy Thanks for your input, will talk to him about it in the morning. He is at the pub with golfing lot tonight Laughing

I am on Pay As You Go Jacky, I know you have to buy the phone but usually unless you are going for an all singing and all dancing model then the more basic phones are quite cheap and work out usually a lot less than a contract phone if your a light user. I use it much more than my house phone, only calls I have on that now are calls I would have to pay for on O2 like premium rate or ringing Jayne, just use up the minutes on my Postcode numbers and then still have the £10 for calls I make when I'm not at home. As for yours it costs anything from £3-£10 to get them unlocked and then you just need an O2 sim and if you go on their website they always have offers for free sim cards on there somewhere.
£10 a month to get your free 500 Postcode minutes(O2 and landline numbers are free) and the £10 unlock would make a lot of difference to your monthly mobile bill

Comparing the rates seems like a good idea. If we were both on O2 it would certainly work out cheaper Very Happy

There's an O2 shop in Fleet as well Jacky. You should be alright to park if you come early part of week and before 10.30. I think it was 'cos it was Friday it was so busy.
