Thanks for the tips Jen, like the idea of acetate in the tubes Very Happy Never thought of the bisto tubes, think I have just thrown one away, will have to check it might just be nearly empty Laughing Laughing I sometimes buy the small white sauce and curry sauce tubs too Idea - I don't eat it but Martin likes different sauces on things and it's quick and easy to make a small portion Laughing

Pringle tubes - Page 2 Empty Pringle boxes

Post  witsuebea Tue Feb 17, 2009 11:51 pm

Hi Ladies, any-one that doe'snt know forum speak would think that you were all addicted to pringles, after all it's so easy they are a bit scrumcious.
I just keep my ribbons and in fact most of my stash on Ikea shelves in B&Q tote boxes, as they came in 3 colours I did make an attempt to colour code my stash. Some of my paper I keep in an old paper rack from a shop that was closing, the rest I have in a very thin 13inches x 14 ikea cupboard and I invested in one of the new 'workspace' cupboards but it takes over my dining/craft room, I dont have any pics but I will see if I can get some.

Pringle tubes - Page 2 Empty pringle boxes

I can hardly believe this, someone is watching me! Shocked Yesterday I spent a large chunk of the afternoon sorting ribbons, (put them in to shoe boxes in the end, just colour sorted, they are beautifully handy, but now I can't get everything back in the cupboard, and even so, the door won't close! More sorting needed.) I couldn't think of a use for 16 large boxes of cheeselets we had over Christmas, I obviously found a use for the contents, (I really needed the extra calories,) just not the boxes. Very annoying, I wracked my brains every time I threw any out, - and now this thread pops up. Rolling Eyes My only consolation is that I have 9 boxes of Pringles in the cupboard right now! Very Happy

They look good Jan, great idea.

If only I'd spotted it, I could have made use of all my cheeselet tubes! Smile It obviously didn't register until I'd spent half a day trying to squeeze a quart of ribbons into a pint-sized cupboard. And today I have bought more. If you have a JTF (or Frith's) warehouse nearby do pop in, the one nearest me is clearing out 25m rolls of organza and satin ribbons, incredibly cheaply, from 27p a roll. Limited colours though, I bought yellow, wine, green and peach. I also bought a three tier tower on wheels, so I have somewhere to put them all (now I just need somewhere to store the tower). Laughing

Pringle tubes - Page 2 Empty Re: Pringle tubes

I've decided I don't like round-shaped containers. I think Jan has made a great job with her Pringles tubes, they look really good, but I have ditched all of mine, and a large Cheeselet tube, and a round Bisto container, and.... I look at them each time before I toss them out, but have definitely decided I like containers with corners that I can stack into large piles. I finally put all my ribbons away yesterday, I cleared a complete shelf in the (double-doored, and very deep) cupboard and put in the shoe-boxes full. They take up far too much room, but it is such a treat to be able to see what I have, it makes such a difference when things are accessible.
