Poppytree Empty ANDREA - Just in case you don't have that magazine

Post  poppytree Sun Jan 11, 2009 8:29 pm

All measurements are in cm.

1. Take a sheet of A4 and trim to 18cm wide 29cm long - this can be slightly less (26-27) if you want it to fit a standard DL envelope)
2. Score and fold in half lengthways
3. Mark, score and fold horizontally 9cm from top
4. Make a mark 15cm from the top on each side of the card
5. Make a mark 12 cm down from top on centre - draw a light pencil line join the marks to make an upside down V shape, old score these point - this is a mountain fold -all the rest are valley folds
6. Rub out any pencil lines
7. Push the centre dot (12cm) towards the 9cm horizontal fold
8. You can cover the card with co-ordinating papers or use D/S card to make the base.
9. Add a nice embellishment or accent to the diamond top -silk flower, Dovecraft butterfly or Scandinavian heart, decoupage, iris fold, pyramage, contrast paper and greeting tag.....etc - the possibilities are endless

If you get stuck undo your card to check how to refold it Andrea
(or make a practice one using copy paper or thin card first)
