Good morning ladies Looks like it might be sunny today or at least try to be
Got my fortnightly trip to the joke centre this morning, wonder what wonderful surprises they have for me today
Hope all the poorlies are feeling better and those stressed are feeling a little less so

Good morning Jan and all who follow, it looks like it might turn out nice here again. Ive got a little more washing to do and hubby has mended my line has it snapped yesterday had to wash it all again and just finish off thde craft shed has did not feel up to it ysterday. Hugs to those not well and enjoy your day.

Morning Jan & Andrea and all who follow I have got the washing on, had breakfast and watching QVC Craft all day today. Planning on getting this parchment card finished today with the craft shows in the background

Am watching as well Jacky, I quite like the TSV but haven't been tempted......Yet also like th Purple Cow cutter with all the different cutting blades

I havent been tempted yet either. I have a Fiskars rotary cutter which I have had for years which has interchangeable blades but I tend to just use the one

Firstly, an apology...... I was on a right downer yesterday and I am sorry It doesn't happen very often but I am sorry I heaped it all on you lovely ladies x

I am a bit brighter today and am determined to look on the bright side.... if I have to spend my time off my feet, what better way to do it then on the forum and facebook LOL My friend took my daughter up to school for me this morning as I couldn't manage it.... and my mum is picking her up this afternoon to give the knee a bit of extra rest... I have been banned from the housework today by my hubby and apparently HE is cooking tea tonight too.... so I have a day of absolutely nothing to do!

It was lovely to see Jayne posting yesterday and I want to thank ladies for their advice re the DLA paperwork too, I have no idea what i am doing half the time!

Hope anyone who is poorly is getting better and hugs for anyone who needs them xxx

You have every right to have an off day - I have them often and I havent really got anything to moan about You look after yourself and have a lovely day of lazing around - I do it all the time Must remember to go and empty the washing machine and put the next lot in. Getting distracted by craft on tv and finishing this card. Just trying to decide what colour card to mount it on

I have been watching some of the Craft Day, dont think I will be getting the TSV, like the Kanban stuff - but not the TSV one. Think there is a Kanban hour on later today, so will try and watch that.
Dull and overcast here today, but at least no rain... yet!!!

As Jacky said Lou that's what we are here for, probably being so busy last week catching up with you and all that form filling I have just been told I have got my 6 month reassessment at the joke centre, just depress me why dont they, really thought I would have been working again by now, not that it hasnt been nice being off work and I know Mike likes me home because he doesnt have to cook
Got to make a couple of cards today and try and find the breadmaker recipe booklet that Carrie's friend lent me to copy, I know where I put it but have turned the place upside down trying to find it, I misplaced my one as well and they are like gold dust, have tried the internet and the manufacturer but no joy. Beginning to think someone is playing games with me but who???
I do that as well Jacky, fill the washing machine and then get into something and forget all about it and then it's a mad rush to get it sorted before Mike gets in and make it look like I have at least done something in the day

Morning ladies. Had an early start today as Roy had drs at 8.00! Doesn't have to go bak for 6 months so definitely on the mend at last. Just had upholsterer in to give me a quote for new settee cushions. Thought I'd ask him how much new loose covers would be as well - wait for it - £1500 for two settees - I think I'll just keep the old ones.

Glad I'm not the only one who leaves the washing in the machine

Been watching QVC as well - definitely not tempted by the TSV. Ordered some DCWV paper but it had sold out as I was on phone!

Lou glad your feeling a bit better today thats what we are here for to moan at each other i have done it enough, hubby just gone to work so the telly is all mine for the rest of the day, so qvc all day for me have washing in the machine as well, but scrapbooking at 1pm dont like that so will peg the washing out make lunch and do anything elsie that needs doing all in an hour you wont see me for dust going round the house ha ha.

I like the tsv am tempted but dont know have bought the steam train set for men so will have to wait and see.

Andrea there is nothing more annoying than the washing line going that happend to me the other week and mine is screwed into the shed and it pulled the front of the shed off. oops

We bought a 3-piece suite with loose covers on it so that they could be cleaned or replaced as it was a light colour. The first time I had them dry cleaned they came back grubby looking still and when I complained they said general dirt is better to be washed - dry cleaning usually removed stains and oils. Washed them on a cold wash but they still shrunk slightly as they were Dry Clean Only. They barely lasted a year and when I contacted the shop to see how much replacements were they were more than the original price of the suite Got some made by Plumbs but never liked them as they just looked like stretch nylon covers

Oh my goodness Janette pulled the shed of i am lucky i found the coil bit that i hang on the other side has i would have to leave it up permanent. We have a shared back way so i take it in when the washing is dry. Im tempted with all the goodies on QVC but am resisting temptation for now

Wondered what you were talking about then Andrea, somehow i had missed Janettes posting. Glad you are all enjoying the craft. I can concentrate a bit more on it now as I have finished my card apart from the insert I have posted it in my Gallery

My line broke years ago and I just stood in the garden holding the 2 ends of the line not having a clue what to do, the old man who lived next door saw my dilemma and came to my rescue but he did ask me why I was holding the piece that was attached the the post because it didnt have any washing on it

Afternoon everyone. I've been ay playgroup this morning only to be told that as a little boy no longer is classed as special needs I wont be needed on a Thursday and Friday from Easter I will however still be needed for covering people when they are off sick or on courses so I will have maybe one day a week until July. If however in the meantime another child is found to require the extra help I will be given my days back again.

Oh what a shame Though good if he is not longer classed as special needs. I worked at a playgroup for 10 years and really enjoyed it until the paperwork got ridiculous. Hope you get to carry on with it

Hope you are feeling a bit better now Lou, the stress of yesterday will hit you today and the next day or so so do rest up hun Oh I remember the days of pegging out my washing ... I can't here as Pete's ex um the polite version is cuts up and muds up any washing I put out ... easier to dry things on a clothes horse inside he he.

Jan loved the "Joke Centre" he he, its a shame that they are not as diligent in their follow ups on the professional doleites and families. Sorry I got those links in the wrong place I'll copy them over tomorrow or later on tonight

I've been very restrained with the QVC craft day but it has more to do with me spending £35 on Graphicus guild offers than not liking anything shown he he. Andrea how far do you live from Shipley ? Kanban have a factory shop and its terrific value, they even make you cups of tea while you shop he he.

Also my daft cat just sicked up a fur ball on the sofa and my sheepskin blanket She is the only cat that I have ever come across that has no problems with being sick in her own bed, dopey thing.
