It's very overcast here but I'm sure it will brighten up later. Alan has gone back to work today after two weeks leave, I miss him already but I will be able to tidy my craft table now.

Whats a LOU sponge Janet?

Hi Cally, we went to Cornwall at the start of March for a week and have booked to go on the 2nd May for a week as it is also our anniversary on the 8th and we are going to re affirm our vow's.

I spent loads on craft products as usual, I love the little craft shop in Penzance, although it's small she has loads of stock, the is also a Range shop in Truro now they have a big craft selection as does Trago Mills in Falmouth and Liskard.

I love the new fairies from Crafters companion and Messy Rabbit from Joaana Sheen.

I am off to make breakfast, srambled eggs and crumpets today.

Sun is out here but doesnt seem as warm as yesterday yet, not going anywhere today and got nothing planned other than tidying up my craft space as well

Hi Jan,

I would love to make cakes but we don't eat them as I'm diabetic and Alan is trying to lose weight so it would be a waste and you can't give them away now days due to healther and safety.

I am going to try it the way my diabetic nurse said and only use 1/2 the amount of sugar, (that can be my excuse when it all goes wrong ) Probably could freeze half of it or freeze it in slices?

Bit cold, windy and miserable here today... looks like its going to rain as well!
Busy week for me.. have the children everyday apart from Friday.
Mikki... my mum is from Falmouth.... we used to go down every year for our holidays when my Grandad was alive - loved spending the days on the beach, Cornish pasty wrapped up in greaseproof paper for our dinner - she has lived up here (Nottinghamshire) for 49 years... and people say she still has her cornish accent !! she met my dad, married and came up to live in Notts. They would have liked to have lived down there.. but work kept my Dad here.

Ive just had a phonecall to go back to the hospital for another smear, when i asked why she said dont know just told to ring a few ladies getting a bit worried now and anxious do not like them one bit. Only been up an hour and taking it easy. Nice to see the sun and the last of the washing blowing in the wind. Hopefully it will be dry before the rain comes. Finished my monthly swaps for posting -just the blue 0n-line oneto do then its on to class prep for April/May.

Hi Lou i have been back on to them hubby said its Saturday and he will take me , i did not want to go has its the day before we jet of on our hols . He said get it done then we can relax on holiday but you cannot relax has you dont get the results back till six weeks after She is out for the day now and will ring back tomorrow

Afternoon all Mikki how lovely to re-new your vows where are you doing that, ? our wedding anniversary is the 22nd may 38yrs this yr only another two for our 40 is that ruby,? actually we have been invited to a surprise 40th wedding anniversary party in may so must get a card done for that.

oh its just started raining here cant believe the change in the weather its like oct nov here today.

Still cant believe i have all those ribbons, but need to find another way to display them has the stand is really heavy for poor derek to keep transporting for me.

We had a Pagan handfasting back in May 2004 which was wonderful, so we are going to redo the vows we made then in a stone circle called the merry maidens which is up the back of Penzance, it's a complete circle and it's the only one I can get to. Our friend who is an offical wise woman is going to do the service for us.

It's official Lou's sponge recipe is idiot proof because I made it earlier and it got the thumbs up from Mike, he said great recipe Lou I didn't burn it or overcook it in anyway and even had a sliver myself, oh and I halved the sugar and Mike didn't even notice

Afternoon everyone, went food shopping this morning to stock up after leaving Martin alone in the house for a week I was going to make the sponge Saturday but had no eggs left but have got some now so will have a go later Cold and windy here today - my fingers wont work on the keyboard. Andrea, lots of people I know have had to go back for a retest as they have found abnormal cells but the next test is fine so don't panic about it, but I understand that you can't help it, but best to get it out of the way

Afternoon everyone. I've had Kayleigh off school today with a bad throat and neck pains. I took her to the Doctors and he has told me her throat is red raw but it hasn't affected her tonsils yet and all her glands are up but he can't give me anything for it because it's a virus

Weather is miserable here, but I watched the 11am craft show and had to sit on my hands to stop myself from buying things ahead of my holiday. I wonder what the TSV will be from midnight tonight? Not sure if you ladies watch QVC craft but they have the theme days on this week at 11am every day - its black and white day tomorrow, can't remember what Weds is but they vintage on Thursday. Eight separate shows on tomorrow though because of the TSV so must watch that, or some of it at least he he
