Monday Blues

Good morning ladies Looks like the start of another nice day here

Good morning all,

I hope you are all well and had a great weekend, but what happened to the weekend ? one minute it's Friday night and the next it's Monday morning already I think people should work two days on five days off for the same wage.

Most of the weekend was spent at the hospital, they have given mum a new pain killing drug that lasts for 12 hours and she said it seems to be working so now they just need to sort out the sickness, so things are starting to look better for her. I could write a book about how bad the hospital is, she had a sandwich for lunch and after a few bites she realized she was eatting green mould on the bread so I shall once again be making my feelings felt to who ever is in charge today.

I have loads of cards that I need to make for April but I don't seem to have the time to do any right now.

Breakfast is calling, have a great day what ever your doing.

Moldy bread that's gross, did your Mum keep the sarnie so you could show someone, that is disgraceful in a hospital, if that's the sort of food your Mum is getting then no wonder she is taking a while to get well I would ask to speak to the person in charge of catering and make a written complaint. I had some lovely meals when I was in hospital last year and couldn't fault it, well except for the parsnip soup that was a bit odd
Sun is shining but Mike said there is a thick frost but it doesn't feel that cold to me but then I haven't been outside yet

Godd morning Mikki and Jan and all who follow. A beautiful morning here but I did see that there was frost around when I got up. Got first lot of washing on line already. Did cheat though I washed it last night! Just waiting for my settee to be picked up for reupholstering. They are bringing it back tomorrow and collecting the second one. Got to get the covers for it washed but will have to take them to launderette as too heavy for my machine.

Had to break off in middle of typing this as they turned up. Typical - they wanted the largest which I hadn't taken the covers off! Lounge now looks like a war zone - covers and feathers everywhere!

Mikki - that is terrible about the food - no wonder she's being sick.

Bit of a difficult morning as I had a fall in the bathroom last night Had to get hubby to come and get me up, felt such a fool

Also have my eldest daughter off school as she spent half the night screeching in agony with stomach cramps so I ended up having her in bed with me and she nicked my hot water bottle She doesn't seem to have developed a bug... but is soooo tired from the lack of sleep...... she spent the majority of the weekend with my mum and dad and they spoilt her rotten so it may have been that she has eaten too much rich food and paid the price.

Bright sunshine here.....lovely day.... I have got to make a leaving card for her teacher so she can help with that!

Good morning Jan, Mikki, Sue , Lou and all that follow, overcast but windy here and ive got washing out again eldest daughter made me blow my lid off this morning what with putting a load of washing in the basket after all that i did at the weekend ggggrrrrrrrrr sorry moan over. Got all my unmounted stamps sorted over the weekend. My class was cancelled this morning so have some time to play and make some new samples. Got 3 birthday cards to make this month and Emily wants a pocket card for her bedroom door (like her sister) a bit like this but with the letters of her name on each tag.

Mikki hope you mum is getting better too. I would definitely complain about the bread though.

Kayleigh went back to school today because she wanted too even though she is still burning up. The teacher has said he will call me if she gets any worse. I have had her home for some luch because it is still hard for her to swallow so I will take her back in a minute

Afternoon ladies. Mikki, you should definitely complain about the sandwich, no wonder you mum is being sick Lou, hope you are not too bruised after your fall, and your daughter is feeling better. Andrea, Martin always fills the washing basket after I have finished all the washing Where are you going for your holiday. Hope you are feeling better now Sue so that you can enjoy your holiday.

We have had a lovely morning at Virginia Waters and the magnolias & daffodils there are absolutely beautiful at the moment. Just had the lamb which I cooked yesterday for dinner, and have badminton tonight - so it will give it a chance to digest Hope you all get done what you want to do

I'm feeling a lot better today thank you Jacky. Still got a bit of a cough though. Back out again in a minute to collect settee covers from launderette. We keep threatening to go for a walk at Virginia Water - it's years since I went - we will get round to it one day soon!

Hi All,

I hope you all had a good day.

When I got to the hospital this morning mum was being really sick and I just lost it and demanded to speak to someone in charge, I spoke with the ward sister who is a man called Craig. I told him the whole story and it looks like one hand doesn't know what the other is doing, he said he will look into all the points I have raised and he will speak with me tomorrow.

She does look a lot better and is moving easier so fingers crossed
