Mobile problem Empty Mobile problem

Post  Christine Wed Jun 03, 2009 7:52 pm

When I switched on my mobile this morning nothing happened, it was as dead as a doornail. I tried charging it, although it hadn't needed doing when I switched it off the evening before, but still nothing. It's only just a year old, so I contacted the maker, who suggested I charge it up for half-an-hour. I'll have another go, but I have already tried that, so I'm not optimistic. Rolling Eyes Has anyone else had this happen, and did you manage to get it working? Just when I'm waiting for calls too! Mad

My mobile 'died' last week.... but its the screen that has gone. Still receiving messages, but I dont know who from Laughing Just hope Josh Holloway isnt wanting to take me out (Sawyer from Lost) Fortunately I only had a few pence left on the phone. Anyway, hubby bought me a new one last week and I am slowly getting used to it... trouble is I have lost all my numbers that were on my phone Crying or Very sad and as I didnt save them to the sim card.... they are lost forever and ever Rolling Eyes
Good luck with your phone Christine

Just what I was going to suggest Janette Smile
Also if you have problems with your sim card take it out and gentle rub it with a pencil rubber, when I had probs years ago I was told to do that by the nice man on the phone Very Happy He actually asked me if I had a rubber and I said 'PARDON' then realised he meant a pencil rubber lol!

Many thanks, the good advice worked! Very Happy I left it on charge overnight and found it still dead this morning, so took out the battery, looked at it, didn't really like to do anything with it so put it back, plugged it in, and Hey Presto! it charged up! Wonderful, I have my mobile back. Very Happy

Glad it's all sorted now Christine, was going to suggest the same thing as my hubby often has this happen and he has a very mucky job so the grit and dust gets everywhere. It has always worked for him x Another thing he has to do when it doesn't charge properly is use a small soft bristled paintbrush and clean out the charger connection on the phone x
